Wonder if possible to just attach shields to their backs like the missile troops do when firing? Had a look but dont know what the attach point would be for the back

if you look at the cutscene everyone has a halberd and shield

@Centurion Probably not. Unless it's a small buckler type attached to the arm. Even then it might be a little clunky, since the halberd is a weapon that utilizes range and its ability to thrust and cut with its spear+axe head

i like the idea. but something is bugging me. which is preventing me from using it. lets say in real life can a soldier fight with a shield and a halberdier?

Hi, I love your mod so much and I enjoyed it. But may I ask something even more please? XD

It's a kind of lore friendly thing. Since in the lore of warhammer, a lot of halberdiers are using a shield, but it's like stick to their left arm so they don't have to carry it, and the way they attack and hold their weapon should still be the same with regular halberdiers.

Could you please make another shielded halberbiers like this? Cuz I don't like how the shielded halberdiers from other mods swing their halberds in the air like it doesn't have weight, because they are just basically spearmen with a halberd looking spear and armor piercing trait.

And last, THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU ARE AMAZING!

Hey man, stabbign someone with a 1-2 foot bladed or armor peircing spike would still be effective... If they are human. They'd be so dicked against orcs.

@Deamonhost yes and the axe part of the halberd would be useless if one were to one hand it. but given its a fantasy setting, I imagine they all fight a la Dark Souls

No complaints whatsoever. Just an observation, i go to ren. faires a lot and my main weapon is always a halberd, and i gotta say. it would be physically impossible tio use a halberd and a shield unless it was a tiny little buckler or italian round shield cause a halberd definately takes all your attention in a tourney. I bet it's way more fickle in the melee.

No actually, vanilla halberdiers are tier 3. Check main_units_tables.

@schnibbel Should be fixed. One of the unit junction set was set to infantry_tier_2 while the vanilla halberdiers are set to tier_1

No need, it would make the unit worse than the original unit. Besides it works in the warhammer world ;)

So... how do they wield their 2-handed weapon, if they only have one hand free? You should lower their melee and defence by 10 each. ;)
