@Lil Broomstick sorry, im kinda swamped with uni at the moment. if you like you can try the new version, for now its son github but ill put it on here when i feel like its ready. it automatically sets up all the grouping and stuff so you don't need to. and it uses better algorithms for some of the calculations (no jolting every 90 degrees)

Checked how this ship was set, with the names and stuff and it seems i did all the right things, only my ship doesnt want to activate thrusters when i press X (nor activating dampers work (Z)), i've checked with the LCD screen. help would be appreciated

@XCanG you may want to use the actual script workshop file though as that will always have the latest version and you can copy it into any PB easily. its linked just above.

@XCanG i have never tested it in space, but it should work. although the system to work around the way keen has implemented thrust values might cause issues.

it should work with all thrusters you try though. even modded ones as long as the modder has put "thrust" in the subtypeID. as for the keys doing those things, that is what vector addition does - hence the name of the script ;)

@1wsx10 a more a question or request: Can it work in space? Or can you make some exception if not? For example I may build Ship to go between orbit and land, so it will have both thrusters and when I go in space it will work (I dont test it break or not). Also would be good if this system can rotate ion thrusters in that way in space, where I try to move (W - turn backward, A - turn right, Space - turn down, W+Space - turn diagonal 45deg back 45deg down).

@XCanG yeah, i know about that. itl be gone in the next version. im using a different system for thrusters now.

also, you need to turn the thrusters on. press your jetpack key ;)

How it worked? Engines on a ship like disabled. Controlling by WSAD like work, just engines stay turned off...

@DON this is intended behaviour. You can press your jet pack key to turn the engines on and off. Have fun

is it only boken for me? if the programm runs, the thrusters are off ... had the same problem with my own ship using this script :(

@Queue releasing this world, with the ship that runs the script to the public was a side effect of submitting it into the competitian.

if you really want it as a blueprint, you can download the world, open it up, and copy it to your blueprints ingame. you wont be able to control it if the world you paste it into does not have Control Module by DIGI installed.

1. its called the "Deterrent Mk2"
2. i uploaded this on purpose, so thanks.
3. this is indeed a world. its made for the planet competitian by w4stedspace where they asked me to upload a world if it is a modded creation. my submission is actually a script i wrote for the programmable block that controls the thrusters and rotors you can see in the picture. that is why its a modified version of the vanilla ship "Deterrent". its just a vessel to run the script.

if you would like to try out the script in this ship you can download the world, however if you would like to make your own ship that uses this script, you can click the link in the description of this workshop file.
