you ever going to update your orc units mods or are they all dead?
RoundAbout0 18 Oct, 2016 @ 9:15am
drazan - would it be possible to do a arachnarok spider with a spider shrine as a mount for a goblin great shaman and a arachnarok spider with a catapult on its howdah?
drazan  [author] 6 Sep, 2016 @ 1:24pm

I don't know if this helps but I've seen some people saying this thread was fairly helpful in finding what was changed in the new update

to everyone, the grim and the grave dlc made the forest goblin and night goblin pack not work (i am looking in the data to see what stuff they changed)
thank you for your patience.

@drazan So you can't make them do their regular walk cycle vertically? What about having them appear on the top from the bottom, like how infantry can when they're on the inside of the wall? Or perhaps at least give them the ability to use the siege towers.
lordkisler13 27 Aug, 2016 @ 2:20pm
could you somehow code the spider's to have the ability to use/ deploy laddrs but not visibly deploy the ladders
drazan  [author] 26 Aug, 2016 @ 1:33am
@pleeb2 as much as i would love to make my spiders climb walls like they should do in tabletop, that's not possble in game. only thing arachnaroks can do is bash the gate as a ram. so no wall crawlng
pleeb2 25 Aug, 2016 @ 9:40pm
I have a question about what's capable in a mod, while we're on the subject of the Spider Kults and being true to lore and the tabletop. Can you make it so that the spider riders can scale walls, like in the table top? I figure that this is a good time to bring it up.
pleeb2 25 Aug, 2016 @ 9:39pm
@drazan I was just wondering about the reasoning. I get what you mean about making them distinct.

I'd have suggested maybe giving them a slightly greater melee attack, like savage orcs compared to regular Boyz. Since the forest goblins carve out a living in the great forests for themselves, and the Night goblins spend their time skulking underground. I've read that the latter even have problems just with sun exposure.

Actually, maybe you could also have it so that the forest goblins have greater leadership! At least more than the Night Goblins. Night Goblins actually have worse morale than just the regular spearmen, even when they have crazed fanatics added. I think it's meant to reflect how even though the Night goblins are more vicious and "creative", they're also a lot more... unhinged. And again, really bad sunburns.
drazan  [author] 25 Aug, 2016 @ 1:53pm
@pleeb2 if you have another idea to make forest goblins different then regular goblins and night goblins them i'm all ears. they are used to fight in forest and in terrain they can take advantage off (a.k.a ambush battles) so strider made perfect sense to me
pleeb2 25 Aug, 2016 @ 1:50pm
Why do these goblins have the Strider ability, ignoring combat and movement penalties from terrain, when they're not riding their signature giant spiders? Are they just really fleet of foot?

Love these packs matey,great job.
Skkizoboy 21 Aug, 2016 @ 4:12am
@drazan: great! Keep on the good work with your mods!
drazan  [author] 21 Aug, 2016 @ 12:45am
@Skkizoboy i have the 6th 7th and 8th edition armybook yes, that's what i used to create these units. i will work on these descriptions later then
Skkizoboy 20 Aug, 2016 @ 8:46pm
@drazan: well it's not that important. I see two benefits in these text: first, it can provide advice on how to use the unit (much like what you explained in the Description of your mods, only shorter); also, it provides context/lore and gives personality to your units (with the greenskins, it can be especially funny). Perhaps you have TT army books, or backstories from the net, that can be used as source of inspiration?
That said, thanks again for your work! I really like the units.
drazan  [author] 20 Aug, 2016 @ 10:40am
@Skkizoboy ye it's blanco, i ran out of inspiration so i had no idea what short descriptions to put there. i figured it wouldn't matter that much (just a minor detail for myself) but others may find it important
Skkizoboy 20 Aug, 2016 @ 9:21am
Very nice! Thanks a lot for your work. One little thing: the units (of your 5 mods) seem to be lacking a description text (also called "flavor text"); at least in my game the area is blank. Perhaps you could fill it with some description?
