pretty nice, I would like it more if the performance was better, in some areas it drops even to 40fps on a fairly decent pc

I admire your dedication in coming back to update this map after all the years since it was uploaded! I've only played KF2 for a year or two, but I did get a chance to play this map before and after the recent update. I'll post my full feedback in the discussions section.

Love the map to death but I'm also experiencing the bug with invisible zeds and desyncing mobs when playing with 2-6 players. I have zero of these issues when playing solo offline.

@Mr.Dcreeper Yeah, this map is kinda broken now. I had something like that reported on my server.
I never experienced anything like that, but when I tried to test it myself I was getting crazy framerate drops that I didn't get previously playing this map. I suspect it's caused by the car lights. Whenever I glance at a car (at least one with its lights on), that's when I experience steep drops in framerate.
It's a shame I gotta take it down from the server. It's a pretty good map.

I had to remove this from my map list. The map turned into an impossible invisible-escort quest. I have no idea why it happened on this map or how the map could be at fault- but player hit boxes and player characters were not in-sync. Zeds would target empty spots several paces from the players and the player would be affected. They'd just grab or stab at the air and players would get hurt/caught. Shooting however was not affected - bullets still came from the character positions.

anyone else have an issue like this?

I like it. Everyone has different tastes, and I think it's refreshing to have a more 'open-world' type map, that still manages to feature close quarters as a primary setting. Favoring support, there are lots of places to get the blood pumping, and though imperfect, this is probably one of my favorite maps.

A hero of the internet right here. giving the people what they have a right to know about! *slow clap*

We've both since retired doing any kind of modding for this game. The fact that you have a slow computer is not anyones problem but your own. Good gravy you are one over dramatic entitled son of a bitch. When it was initially released it had very few problems, and during testing we had no issues achieving 70+ FPS steady. but changes to kf2 inevitably broke certain things contained therein (I/E ragdolls). Given the fact we both have lives, we didn't have time to fix it. And now neither have the time or interest partly infact to a toxic few like yourself.

To everyone else, appreciate the support and criticism. Thanks for the fun times.

The map is really nice, but there are a lot of FPS drops and micro stutters, as already mentioned. 55-70 FPS in average in open areas and drops to 40 or even 35 FPS.
Tested on this «potato»: FX-8300 (stock) + RX 580 8G + 16GB RAM + Samsung SSD; Ultra settings and an old 1280x1024 monitor. On other maps I get 100+ FPS even at 6-player HoE server. :steamfacepalm:

I like the idea, but not the end result as a kf2 map.

It's pretty and big but at the same time bland and nothing new.

basically if you put the evacuation harbor + hostile grounds + burning paris together and smudge it all trough eachother = this map.

Performance is insanely erratic. I had 50+ fps differences between lowest and average fps.

I'm truly shocked and appalled, that this poorly optimized dumpster fire managed to achieve 5/5 rating.
At its current shape - doesn't even deserve 3/5. Take a look at these two superimages that I made, look how "great" it performs:

Uploader, if you respect yourself and other members of this community, do me and everyone else a favor - either delete this trash from workshop or fix its framerate properly. And these numbers that you've just seen - that's just ON SOLO, how badly it performs in coop game?.. I can't even imagine.
I rate this underoptimized garbage with 4 crawlers out of 10, have a dislike and GOOD DAY. 👎

a cheap spot/issue is the ledge on the hotel. for whatever reason the pathing fucks up and only a few zeds can actually make their way to the door. only the ledge does this, the room doesnt do it. i've seen raged fleshpounds and scrakes make laps all the way around the map.

I uploaded this to my server and a friend and I've had a chance to play around with it a bit. It's an incredibly detailed maps and I found it to be a lot of fun to play. My only gripe is that it's kind of resource heavy on low end machines and our daily missions wouldn't complete while playing it. If you could sort out the latter issue, I'd be more than happy to rate it 5/5.
+1/ -1 ~ Great Map! Massive, highly detailed & diversive. Broken needs fixing/Updating, Multiple 'paths' need you to manually jump over stuff that looks like regular impassible objects in other maps, this should be addressed.

What is the meaning of these "Actor Factory", one spawn Human and a "Test ZED".

map is great and well done..but im experiencing drop in frame rate quite often and game sometimes freezes in d middle of shooting and explosions...

There are a lot of doorway clipping issues. The players are unable to get through some of the doorways, as if some invisible wall is holding them back. Very frustrating.
I cant' recommend this map at this time.

Those are some neat ideas. I haven't updated the map in awhile because I've had work recently and I'll be busy for the next two weeks, but I will try and find time to open it up and fix some stuff. It's weird because I've played on servers where there are no issues, but suddenly some people find stuff! I wonder if KF updates mess with maps sometimes.

    Are you still updating it? The Briars are a bit awkward. There are a few other flaws such as the trader trail not showing in a few places. I also recommend changing a few of the traders and mixing them up. I like how it's Anna with a gas mask, it makes it feel that it's just another survivor female so if we're playing as Anna we can suspend disbelief and stay immersed. However, it's the same one every time. Put a few other characters as different traders, so it feels like a joint effort of Horizon and a militia. (Make them have different masks as well,so it stays incognito and fresh.) I've always seen it as silly from the original killing floor to imagine the trader moving around during this all this chaos, so I prefer different human traders in different places. And the xp is a bit of a problem. I hope you see this, and had the energy to even skim over these super long paragraphs, because this map is just great and it would be in my dreams for it to be official! :steamhappy:

Oi mate, this is probably my favorite map of all time. It's so big yet it keeps compact so it doesn't feel like I'm kiting to the trader for too long. The first time I was playing I was amazed. There are so many different areas, the bridges, lakes, theater, offices, restaurants indoors and out it's beautiful. There were several things that I was trained from other maps that meant I can't go over it, but several of the blockades and trucks are completely passable, it feels like when I want to go somewhere I can! If I want to escape out a window, if I want to jump over a fence, it's all there. I like how some of the stone barriers next to that outdoor cafe thing is breakable as well. These are the kinda maps Tripwire needs to have. The faster pace of Killing Floor 2 from the original demands that we have these types of almost "parkour" type of maps. You are a sexy map designer.

Great map, but it does not give you XP. I think others are correct when they say it's because wave 0 starts as the boss level. Most maps show wave 0 0/0 while this map shows wave 0 1/0.

I can't tell if it's the scope of the map or something else causing lag. It's the first time I've experienced lag in KF2 and I've been running a lot of custom maps lately.

I keep getting a kismet error saying it failed to load something. Sorry I don't have the specific message. The map's not in my library anymore.

The zed counter drops to 0 with 3 or 4 zeds left on the first wave. It also seems to think it's the boss wave once the counter depletes. I deleted and re downloaded, but I'm still having these issues. Great map, I'm just not sure what I'm doing wrong. : (

awsome map 10/10 love how open and how many places on the map there is. Especially the movie theatre its not huge but not tiny its perfect size. Great work man
