Flat Soda, do you port animation changing mods aswell? If so i'd love to see ports from MzK's default weapon reanimations. Of course i'm not forcing you to do so.

@I_AM_NOT_PUNCAKE Include them along with the file. However, it could also mean that the model isn't supported for an older version of Source but it should usually work.

Sorry to bother you with another question, but what do you do when a weapon's model has the animation mdl and the model itself separated?

Such like this: v_m4a1.mdl & v_m4a1_anims.mdl

Ok I solved the issue now. One of the skin was using some fancy dancy shader that's not supported by gmod.

Oh I meant that I had changed the weapon name in SWEP.PrintName, and file paths have also been changed in SWEP.View/World Model

@I_AM_NOT_PUNCAKE Rename the weapon name on the top of the shared.lua (for example, AKM) to something else. And no, it's SWEP.ViewModel and SWEP.WorldModel is where you copy and paste the file locations of the .mdl

What I meant was that the weapon does not show up in the spawn menu, and there seem to be no lua error in console neither.

@I_AM_NOT_PUNCAKE Copy and paste the file location of the model that you hexed and paste it into SWEP.Viewmodel for the viewmodel files and SWEP.WorldModel for the world model files. Paste the file location of the main .mdl files only.

Yeah....The rigging part is what I don't get..... Can you be a little more specific on that, or do you have a link to some detailed tutorials?

@I_AM_NOT_PUNCAKE Yeah. That's all I did. Then I hexed the models to be rigged to the weapon it replaces and copied and pasted the KK INS2 lua files that the weapon replaces as well. I change their lua files like weapon ammo type, name, weapons per clip, model rigging etc. Once that's done, I go into the game and test them.

(Oh btw, don't forget the model rigging.)

Can you maybe make a tutorial on how to port weps from ins to gmod? Did you just take the workshop files and decompile them?
