@ question below : It would be best when placed above Synergies and Essentials. I do not know how this mod's new NG+ levels interact with Synergies maps.

it does looks fine to me... the only problem is when you equip the item that become problematic, make it a crash after trying to wear a TL1 class specfic or any lego gear... anyone got this problem?

That's really weird, I never used to have problems with Unearthed Arcana at all. I don't know what caused it to become unstable.

@steffire3: yeah. I'm using even Unearthed Arcana without LAO III part 1 and 2 mods. Stills crashing when I finish some of the new quests. Dunno what to do. I really enjoyed the new content.

@ Nick : Are you using the most updated version from the Torchlight Fansite?
Unearthed Arcana has a history of crashing with other adventure mods as it's not compatible.

@ Astaroth : Arcana is known to have issues with Dungeon Mods. Try placing Endless Dungeon below all of them and if that still doesn't work then try Abysm which is an alternate mod for an endless dungeon.

I'm trying to do this with the endless dungeon MOD but am experiencing crashing. Should I put LAO on top? (LAO3 part 1 and 2 & Arcana) or under it? Amazing mod btw

@ Quasla : 100 is max for Character. It's the Items, stats and dungeons that keep rising. The General Vendors in the Towns sell Scrolls that contain Enchanting Vendors that add stats into Items which are used with higher leveled Items to add higher stats to continue equipping higher Items.

@ The Force : Lao 3 has a different balance than Synergies although I agree I wish RnF would've stated the reason.

@ Yuiko: "Lao 2" would go below to access all features of "III" or you could place "III" below to access all features of "2".
Copy Paste your character saves before trying this as there's a high chance of bugs with both "III" and "2" mods loaded.

@ RioT Dreamz: If there are maps above 500 then they will most likely appear at those levels since even the original game can lock maps by NG+ tier.

Just a quick question if someone would be so nice to answer it though, part 2 says it extends mapworks maps and levels of items to 999... But i only see maps in my mapworks that are to level 500? is there maps up to 1000 and i just havnt seen them?

@Steffire3, Thanks for the reply. I figured that id have to do the NG+ in order to get higher level items i just wasnt sure. I had a level 115 that i kept getting items around 120-125 but nothing higher the that. But yet again i was only in the regular base game. Cheers.

@ RioT Dreamz: It would help to have the mod author answer yet they have been away for 235 days.
Items near 100 will drop however much higher level items will not be available without NG+.
"Lao 2.0" mods are not recommended with "Lao III" mods for possible conflict.

Just Curious, do we need to do NG+ in order to get items leveled over 100+ or can we get those items regardless? and i would assume your high drop (Lao 2.0) doesnt work with this?

I was also very annoyed by the fact that Staves aren't melee weapon anymore. So I did a "patch" mod that reverts staves as they are.

I disagree with the changes you've made to dexterity and staves. Dexterity shouldn't enhance damage, staves should be melee weapons. As it is now, I'd wish you'd make a non-dexterity altering and staff altering version of this mod; until then, gonna have to decline using this mod.

Is it intentional that all items of the same "type" (e.g Sturmbeorn armour) have the exact same requirements for being equipped? Was a bit confused when I started a new game with this and all seven blues I got needed level 5/focus 27 vitality 21 to use.

@st.estevo Yes, load times can take longer on some machines. It has to load a ton of items, depending on the computer, it sometimes takes a few minutes.

@Atlas-kun still having crashing issues? Could be a graphics issue. Try turning your video card graphics way down and see if that helps. If not, try removing LAO III part 2 and see if you it will load with out it.

@Michael Sorry for the slow response, haven't logged into steam for a minute. I will revisit LAO III in the fall, currently taking the summer off from modding. Glad you have enjoyed the mod.

I haven't had any plans to revert staffs and I probably won't for the base mod. I will look at creating an add on mod that reverts them back to the original format.

If CD's removed the bolt, all they need to do is grab the original staff animations and add them to the mod to remove the thrusting action.

@RnF,

Firstly, let me say that you've done amazing work. I've loved your stuff forever, and I'm seriously enjoying LAO 3.

I have a bit of an issue however. Your decision to change staves to ranged instead of melee really breaks a lot of custom classes and builds that I absolutely enjoy, theme wise. To get around this, I tried @[CD] potterman28wxcv's mod, which is meant to revert them back to melee. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=917501067

However, CD's mod seems to simply remove the "bolt" that LAO 3 gives to staves, and keeps the thrusting animation - basically turning the staff into a junky spear that uses the same, single thrusting animation over and over again.

Is there anything either of you could do (or are willing to do) in order to make staves into proper, swinging and bashing melee again?

@doudly thanks for the warning! I haven't really looked into this yet. I haven't seen a need to override anything yet. That would require a lot of balancing and if it breaks the game/multiplayer I wouldn't be interested in implementing those types of changes. If I did, it would be an add on only mod.

@*Yuki* no plans on making any changes atm, so everything remains at the vanilla standard as far as caps are concerned.

If uncapping static stats by overriding it, please be cautious. It could break some things and could crash the game, specially my human companions. Character Block Chance stat has max value of 75, overriding that without its preset values could crash the game. At least on my experience.

@Cucumbear The level requirement on items you are seeing is intentional. In my eyes, a player should be not be rewarded by relying on the level requirement to equip items. There is no investment needed for those items. So by the time you can use an item via the level requirement, it shouldn't be very good for that player anymore. It also creates a barrier for items between classes. How you distribute stats of your character will influence what items you can and can't use.

@Cucumbear This is mod is supposed to make you work towards gearing. Yes, the required level is higher, so you have to spend your stats points very well, and potentially use Boris to help you with it. Boris which can now be found in the General Vendor's inventory

@RnF About the hard cap on bonus to elemental damage, I just found this mod

It says it has removed the caps for all % chance. I don't know exactly what it means (and obviously if the max block chance is now 100% it's kind of broken xD) but maybe it's worth checking out. If he actually managed to uncap the 500% limit, it could be a solution

I reacently started new playthrough with this mod from lvl 1. 9 levels later i cannot find any gear that is equipable for me. Monsters drop gear 3-4 lvl req higher than mine. I used other mods. Is this a bug? Is there anything i can do or am doing wrong?

About class rebalancing - it just came to me that for flat damage skills (like the Embermage has), since Elemental Damage bonus is capped, once you reach it (and you will reach it for sure before monster lvl 999), there's no point in improvement anymore.

So I think some builds might actually struggle very hard in the highest levels

@demon-storm Make sure you Enchant your gear with stat bonuses you get from Boris the Stat Enchanter (enchanter summon scrolls can be found from the General Goods Vendor in towns).

Without using Boris, you will struggle to get access to the better gear. This is part of the difficulty increase of this mod. It can be done though!

I have actually decreased the requirements by a fair amount from when I originally released the mod. I have been able to meet requirements with out too many issues up to level 175 gear. The enchantments scale with item level. So the higher the item level, the better the stat enchantments you get on that item.

I don't have any plans on lowering this any further at this time.

@[LDT]Lol95441 Hmm tough one. I would probably put LOA III on top, but it would work below it as well. I guess it depends on what changes you want to prioritize. Both mods will override settings from each other when it is loaded first.

I haven't had the chance to play for too long, but the attribute requirements early on is ridiculous. I need 80 dexterity, 30 vitality and even 20 strength for a low level pistol?

I can't possibly see how you could wear all those items past level 100 if the attribute requirements keeps raising. Even if there was a way, the progression is very unfair, even for lower levels. You should consider lowering the overall attribute requirements by ~40%.
