@PIXY_UNICORN Yes that can be done, and you can use PFM to change the garrison units for each building. But I am happy enough with the game balance so far and unlikely to change it here.
Well for visual distinguish purposes, I am not in favor of making minor outpost same as major ones. But you can edit yourself if you wish: get PFM, open the building pack, go into campaign_settlement_display_buildings_tables, look at building_key: outpost_1/2/3, change their column 3 and 4 to be the same as the column3 and 4 as settlement_major_2. Then all your minor outposes shall be trees.
Can you edit this mod so the minor settlements still have the tree model from kelstr's mod for minor lookouts or change it so we can upgrade them too look like them by making minor settlements reach tier 2 and gain that tree model?
No. Originally I intended to and thus left in db, but there is something preventing minor settlements to correctly upragde in game (cannot find which), so I took them out.
Thanks for this, are you going to be adding tier 2 minor settlements? I noticed the references in building_levels but nothing elsewhere. Would be great to have an additional building option for minor settlements, especially minor port settlements.
@Unnamed_Shadow what do you think i did, this mod was the one that crashed the game, the other ones I am subscribed to all worked like a dream, however this one is my favorite, because it makes you not have to build 20 stacks to defend your empire as the wood elves.
A useful tip for future patches is that if the main_units_table can't be read, that means the new patch f*cked all the tables. If you can open that table, there is hope you won't have to update everything. But if the simplest table can't open its going to suck.
You are right. I learned a useful cheating tip...always thought I need to re-compile from the assembly kit to get it up-to-date. Thanks!

And to consulmcdonald dude, don't blame a single mod if you crash. What you do when you get a crash is disable all mods, and one by one test them until you hit the one that is giving you the crash. Then if all the mods worked, then its up to you to look for the tables that conflict and just delete the table that is messing up. Its a pain to do it, but on the plus side it might get you into modding, at least thats how i got into it.
well, once you enable out-of-dated mod in your launcher, add this mod in, it will work as intended.
I don't want to update the mod un-necessarily every time CA updates the game, simply because it is a waste of time to achieve nothing but eliminate the yellow icon...(because every time they update the base game, all previous mods, whether working or not, will shown as out-of-dated). But THIS MOD IS STILL WORKING and I have no problem running it after all.
If you still have crash after enabling out-of-dated mod, let me know :-)
@MustDy, no the mod affects all province capitals, you can just go up to tier 4 Asrai Lookouts on special capitals, Karak Eight Peaks, Castle Drakenof, Altdorf, etc, but with the non-special province capitals you can only go up to a Tier 3 Asrai Lookout.
So as I understand this one does not work with mod, that increase all capital's building capacity?
It works for elves also, but affects only 4 capitals, without touching all other provinces when playing elves
So it should be another mod crashing your game after the updated?
A update would be nice

I'd also like to see tree archers (like thorny trees shooting their thorns) and artillary (like trees lobbing stones) if you're able :P
I really do like the trees and don't like elves in my army.
But, I do believe elf lives matter.

and I use only a few mobs, and I have tried to take them out
