RIP Vanguard's pc
CaptainX3 7 Jul, 2019 @ 11:41am
Crusader has retired from Stellaris modding, I don't believe any of his mods will be updated.
princess69420 3 Jul, 2019 @ 1:14am
Could you please update this?
CaptainX3 26 May, 2019 @ 10:41pm
This mod is retired and very much out of date, it will not work properly with any version of Stellaris higher than 1.9.
NTSFMagellan 26 May, 2019 @ 11:47am
Nice, a Flagship with heavy dreadnought parts. I hope. If that becomes a thing praise the sun
Nade 30 Oct, 2018 @ 12:01am
do i need this patch for the nsc so ican play the rs mod?
SilentKore (The Better One TM) 28 May, 2018 @ 8:42pm
Do we need this anymore for NSC?
Otisius 2 Apr, 2018 @ 2:58pm
Just to confirm, there is no no working compatibility patch for RS and NSC, correct?
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 19 Dec, 2017 @ 1:27pm
You won't get "obvious" errors. They are all "self-contained" so you only need the one patch for any "arrangement" of NSC, RS, ISB you want, but they are all *literally* the same files, for the most part.

However, one key file usually changes between patches: the country_types file, which tells the AI what ship classes they can build and what percentage of their total ship budget goes to which ship classes.

If you "combine" patches, one overwrites another, so you might actually get the wrong ship classes or loose ship classes in the budget if you combine. That's why these patches must be "self-containing," never mind it is nice to have it all in one place. LOL
Solzucht 19 Dec, 2017 @ 12:28am
Thank you :D
Tough for information; i never did seem to get any bugs from subscribing to more than one patch ;D
But thanks :)
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 18 Dec, 2017 @ 11:21am
@solzucht - No. Only one of my ship class mod patches is ever needed at any given time. They are all inclusive. So if you are using any ISB mod (making sure you get the correct one based on if you are using Doomsday or Balance - if you use BOTH, get the Balance patch), just make sure you have the correct "master patch."
Solzucht 18 Dec, 2017 @ 6:56am
Is this Mod needed, if i allready have the Patch for NSC, RS and ISB? :)
Raven_In_Heaven[战斗牧师] 8 Nov, 2017 @ 5:33pm
appreciate
Alguerath 6 Nov, 2017 @ 8:34pm
Working, thanks
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 6 Nov, 2017 @ 8:16pm
@Alguerath - I know what happened. I'll have it fixed in a moment. LOL
Alguerath 6 Nov, 2017 @ 8:11pm
It seems there are malformed tokens and invalid graphical cultures
Alguerath 6 Nov, 2017 @ 8:02pm
It's crashing again.
Judith 27 Sep, 2017 @ 11:40am
thx
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 25 Sep, 2017 @ 5:40pm
@EVERYONE - Mod updated and such be working for both NSC V7 and Realistic Ships. Let me know if I missed anything.
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 22 Aug, 2017 @ 1:01pm
@Exende - I actually just tried that, and that didn't work either. I'm really confused on this, so I'm probably just messing something terribly obvious. I did some testing with other languages (specifically Russian and French) for NSC and there was no issues with string superiority there. Something is off, I'm just not sure what it is yet.
Exende 22 Aug, 2017 @ 10:55am
ah I see, I'm spitballing here but perhaps you can make it into a suffix then *Battlecruiser (RS)", etc.?
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 19 Aug, 2017 @ 9:42am
@Exende - I think Paradox changed how Localisation overwrites work. Instead of it being file overwrites followed by string overwrites, it's now 100% string overwrites by alphabetical superiority. In other words, I have to make the localisation string in "my file" overwrite the original NSC/RS String by having alphabetical superiority, as in "A" beats "B" and "Y" beats "Z". The problem? Take your example of the Battlecruiser. It's starts with "B", thus neither "N" in NSC or "R" in RS will overwrite the original string.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to fix this.
Exende 19 Aug, 2017 @ 1:03am
The RS Battleruiser and the NSC Battlecruisers both show up in the planner as "Battlecruiser", not sure if that's intended since the Support Cruiser has the "RS prefix"
IkonicallyOrange 26 Jul, 2017 @ 10:03am
ah, okay i had just researched the drednought technology right before i tried using realistic ships. Thanks for the help
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 26 Jul, 2017 @ 9:47am
@Lightning2703 - Do you have both of these patches active? You should only ever have ONE of my Ship Class Mod Patches running at any given time. The Master Patches change how the RS Heavy Dreadnought is given from this patch or any other RS patch not part of a "Master" one.

It doesn't necessarily require a new game, but it depends on what technology you have. For this patch here (not Master) you would need a new game if you have already researched Level 6 Spaceports. For the Master Patches, if you have already researched NSC Dreadnoughts.

If you still have this issue with only the Master Patch active (the one for ISB Balance), my first suggesiton is you reset all the mods involved. These instructions can be found on the NSC main page. All you need is the MOD ID for the others, which can be found at the end of their URL links. If you are still confused I can help you with that. Once all of them are reset, I'll take a look if the problem persists.
IkonicallyOrange 25 Jul, 2017 @ 8:16pm
Oops i thought this was the thread for master patch. Anyway i do have the master patch enabled so that's not the problem. I never got any events during my game though. Does it have to be a new playthrough?
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 25 Jul, 2017 @ 1:27pm
@Lightning2703 - Well, first, this is not either of the Master Patches. This patch doesn't include any ISB mod. Second, the RS Heavy Dreadnought is the hardest ship class to keep maintained because it requires events to properly distribute the tech needed to receive each one for each culture type.

If you still have this issue in the Master Patches, I'll look into it, I just want to make sure.
IkonicallyOrange 25 Jul, 2017 @ 1:19pm
For whatever reason Heavy Dreadnought does not unlock for me. I've even tried using the "research_technologies" console command to try and get everything but it still doesn't unlock itself. The mods i'm using are ISBS balance, the main version of NSC, realistic ships, the master patch, the Star Wars rebel shipset mod and the patch to make it compatible with NSC. I'm sure that there's something super obvious and stupid that i can't figure out but some help would be apprieciated.
diademic111 21 Jul, 2017 @ 6:09pm
will try this out thanks
Daywalker 8 Jun, 2017 @ 12:59pm
just for information as i liked the scx dread and superdreads
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 8 Jun, 2017 @ 11:43am
@Daywalker - Why are you trying to use RS and SCX with my patch? Even if you got NSC, RS, & SCX to function together without ship save errors, the AI wouldn't build any SCX ships with this patch. Since SCX is a "mini" NSC, I don't see the point in creating a new patch for SCX variants, especially with NSC Streamlined being released.

While, I appriciate you informing me of potiential problems that arise from my patch, I would suggest you take this up with Princess Stabbity and/or Tal Ara'nh, which I can see you've already done the former.
Daywalker 8 Jun, 2017 @ 6:11am
Problem is with scx mod (ship class extended)
Daywalker 8 Jun, 2017 @ 6:03am
hi i have a problem as i cant save any rs ships, it says some error :Shipdesigner_savefail_wrong_required_components.
p6kocka 30 May, 2017 @ 4:55am
Ok. Thanks
CaptainX3 30 May, 2017 @ 12:45am
p6kocka - Yes, you need both regardless of which version of NSC you're using.
p6kocka 30 May, 2017 @ 12:40am
One question pls. Is this patch necessary when using Realsitic ships mod + only the lite version of NSC. ?,??

Judith 9 Apr, 2017 @ 8:42am
thx
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 9 Apr, 2017 @ 7:43am
@Judith - You only need the "Master" Patch if you are using NSC, ISB, & RS. If you just want to use NSC and RS, use this one.
Forte 9 Apr, 2017 @ 7:05am
@Crusader Vanguard thank you for your info, i can wait but thats a blow from paradox, truely ..
Judith 9 Apr, 2017 @ 1:15am
hello do i need this if i have this ? (-(CP: NSC - RS - ISB Master Patch)-) ? or is this if i only use NSC and RS ?
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 8 Apr, 2017 @ 1:10pm
@Fortepsai - That's the fault of every mod, because of Paradox. They changed how the file that holds those numbers works, and made it completely impossible for individual mods to only overwrite what is required for their mod. It's a huge blow to the modding community, but Patch 1.5.1 is already in beta and fixes this issue. However, it won't go public probably until early next week, so until then you're going to have to adapt or:

Opt for the 1.5.1 beta yourself, and follow the instructions to add your own defines file with 3 needed lines in the NSC comments if you really want it now.
Forte 8 Apr, 2017 @ 12:41pm
There is one problem i dont know which mod was fixing it but i really need that.
So the problem is that all the ships creating BLOB formation but on 1.4 it was very nicely placed with spaces between the ships. If you please tell me what mod was formating that it would be nice . THank you !
CaptainX3 7 Apr, 2017 @ 2:34pm
You need to head over to the NSC page and join us on our Discord. We have a suggestions channel there for new ideas :-)
Cat-Lunatic 7 Apr, 2017 @ 2:32pm
Good Idea. I admit to a little envy on the part of modders. I don't have patience for this kind of stuff but have ideas that flow through my head. I also don't know how to put things down. ..I never ask modders to impliment the ideas because I just utterly hate the idea of giving them more work then they already have, because you people do so much for us players already.
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 7 Apr, 2017 @ 2:31pm
@Hades Izanami - When everyone wants an update from you and you're still trying to figure out what crap Paradox hid in there update, you just do the best you can. LOL. You also stop before you go to bed and just relax so you don't stress yourself out too much.
Cat-Lunatic 7 Apr, 2017 @ 2:29pm
If your brain is fried, have you tried taking it off the deepfryer? XD. Sorry, my jokes are lame.
Cat-Lunatic 7 Apr, 2017 @ 2:29pm
aslo, Sorry, Wrong button. I don't pay attention to the frick i'm doing sometimes.
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 7 Apr, 2017 @ 2:28pm
@Hades Izanami - My brain is fried, but I think I know why that is. LOL. I'll look into it here shortly.
Cat-Lunatic 7 Apr, 2017 @ 2:27pm
Well that sucks, I can't even use the patch. Okay! So, it loaded up to the main menu of stellaris. ..Thats fine. I hit new game, select a race, hit next, set up my map, hit start..

"Nope! You can't play! MOd's outdated. CRASH TO DESKTOP!"

So the patch causes a CTD. Thats all I can give ya.
