Playing with this the first chaos invasion only spawned with one stack which was the greater daemon. That isn't right is it, meaning its not working?

@puffamagicdragon It is added, though it was listed in the end bit before. I did not much problems with it in co-op besides the aforementioned diplimacy issue, though.

i had to forcibly stop a coop campaign on turn 230 because the main chaos event broke the game. it crashes after the cutscene. i read through the comments and im not the only one. Mechanique please do us all a favor and at the top of this mod page write in BOLD that the mod MAY NOT WORK FOR COOP. thank you. really rough end to my 230 turns of preparing for this invasion.

I am planning to, current invasion triggers are not working properly, so they will be rolled back, it's too easy now when you are fully prepared.

Can you please create a version where you move the mid-game to turn 100 & late to 150 please? I regularly have the long campain victory achieved by turn 120, so I never have seen the invasion. Should be easy to do-all you're doing is editing two numbers.

compositions are default, nothing is touched besides the fact that stacks have more units when spawning in, so theoretically there is more variety

Yes, I know, there is a coop issue. Besides the usual declare war on WOC as soon as they spawn, can't help with that. As mod just changes values from vanilla without messing with script itself I can't see how it can possibly break the game.

thx for such an an amazing mod but there is a minor issue turn 242 co-op campaign archeon shows up after cinematic game shuts itself up.

It doest seam to use the imperail part as im playing as orcs and iv conqered the whole lower hafe the map and nothing im only on turn 110 i dout the other powers will last to 180 lol

No, it does not edit startpos. It edits just chaos invasion script, and a minor way - only changing listed values, everything else is untouched, so it shouldn't cause any issues. Scaling i just the number of armies, VH is 14/55.

Thx for this great mod.I was using another mod for later invasion around turn 250 which is outdated now and it has some problem with triggering lords quest battles.Is this mod have such a problem ? and may i ask how difficulty scaling works..im mostly play at very hard campaing and very hard battle difficulties.Also i see its save game competably unless you triggered chaos invasion.Isnt mod edit startpos?

Well, after checking, it appears me and my brother were already at war with Chaos, and we could not do anything not to make the game shut. Let me know if you are going to fix it up, and congratz for it on solo, which is working well.

When the Chaos spawns in my game they dont attack and are pretty easy to pick off..

Think of it as more as a survival, like WRE in Attila. Build walls, build armies to man those walls alongside the garrisons. Fight defensive siege battles to take out as many enemies as possible, while using "main" armies with lighting strike to take out one enemy stack at a time and retreat with marching stance. Some defenses you can actually win, especially in region capitals with upgraded towers and take out several stacks per battle. Hopefully you can defeat enough stacks before Chaos burns it's way to your capital. Obviously, some factions are easier, like Dwarfs, while VC are much harder.

Any tips taking on the 60 stack horde?

I know I should spam armor piercing. Presumbly building up your economy and walls before you get to imperium 16 or turn 230 is mandatory?

Mod updated to latest game version, tweaked values a bit according to feedback and personal preferences - now VC have an actual chance to survive the invasion, also added the difficulty level scaling.

I assume it's the generic co-op issue, you just need both players to declare war on Chaos Warriors before Big A arrives, just after the first wave for example.

Very nice mod, but I tried it last time with my brother in a coop campaign and it made the game crash after the cinematic showing the arrival of the main chaos force... Could you please try to fix it up?

@Merchanique I agree that hard should be hard. But it's impossible. The AI raids on just one area will bankrupt your entire ecomy. How can I fight 30 stacks when I can't even field more than 3 armies? That plus the fact the fact groups every stack together just makes it impossible. If the AI broke the stacks into three groups of 10 into three different ways, that would be a bit more possible. The only factions I can see that would actually be able to do this are the dwarves and the orks due to their starting positions.

If anyhting, a longer delay before that 30 stack hits would be a lot better because 200 turns is still not enough time to prepare against 30 stacks.

It is supposed to be hard. I'd add even more stacks, but it gets rather repetetive.

It probably should, it does not change the invasion script. I guess it will also be quite hard.

It will hopefully get better with next expansion(s). I actually tried re-creating a Call of Warhammer type of invasion, but the possibilities are rather limited.

hounestly i just think they dident do the map, nor the chaos gathering right, id have liked to see swarms of vermin poping up in/ around each major city time to time during the chaos end time, and maybe a exstended chaos wastes map to the north playable tribes that when conditions met, became the actual horde.-- ontop of that we all know the maps missing major landmasses, and why/ for what--- fuck knows typical ca not adding enough land.

itherway, ime hoping someone hacks or they fucking give us the map tools.. and we can finaly create middle earth, propper warhammer map, and fix fucking atilla too.

I want someone to do this with Orcs. The trigger would be all orcs are wiped out, then 20 turns later Grimgore returns as a hoard invasion.

Any way for a submod with an easier late game event? Kinda hard to defeat 60 hordes with just 3-5 stacks at turn 195.

I never actually had Chaos invasion that early. From what I gather, imperium works as as combination of victories + regions in TWW and vanilla triggers are 4 imp or turn 80 for first wave, or 7 and turn 130 for second. I am in the middle of a campaign right now with half imperial and half brettonian lands under control, have not triggered the CW yet.

Also, Proper Chaos Invasion has more stacks, and I didn't find it particallary easy to defeat as VC, so that was tonned down. Anyway, please let me know when the invasion triggered for you, I might have to move it further a bit and/or increase stacks number to keep it challenging.

How many regions would you need to take to hit Imperium 7 or 8? I normally hit the first Chaos Invasion at roughly turn 20, give or take. The final wave, Archaon at its head, normally triggers around turn 40 or so.

I've always been torn about the Chaos Invasion... even with the "Proper Chaos Invasion" mod, they're lacklustre and easily stopped. Other than giving their units better stats, I don't know how to make them challenging. I'll give this mod a shot, see how it goes.
