I think it's not compatible with melee animation, i experienced two beams as Dr.Peanut Butter said. Otherwise, nice mod!

@Russimus Prime Theres an option in the mod options tab where you can disable the glow effects. Disable it, draft your pawn then undraft them. That should work

But if this is a question as for why lightsabers suck its because it requires another mod called "Starwars the force" to make pawns able to wield a lightsaber skillfully

light sabers only do 10 dmg and they miss a lot. i did a test between a plasteel gladius and a light saber attacking a wall and the gladius did over 300 dmg and destroyed the wall before the light saber did 40 dmg in the same amount of time.

Do you need force powers mod to be downloaded as well to make use of lightsabers? Cause I just want the sabers but if idk if they can be used if you don't have skills in lightsaber fencing that the force power mod has

For some reason the light from lightsabers won't follow the pawns on 1.5. When they're drafted the light effect will just stay in place the saber was activated at like a lamp until pawns are dismissed. It's not other mods causing it and it's fine on other versions of the game

Overall everything works fine, but i have one problem with deflection-my pawn deflect shots(from enemy-not friendly fire) just as much(if not more)at my own pawns...makes light saber kinda meh in groups

the crystals are pretty easy to make is that intended because a red crystal is worth more then 4k silver - i mean it feels like cheating x)

For all these who cant make it work:

Let the pawn drop the lightsaber. Lightsaber and crystal should be on the ground. Let the pawn pick up the Lightsaber - now the pawn can pick up the crystal.

Since 1.5, the game seems to have difficulties detecting that a pawn is holding a Lightsaber without a crystal, droping and picking it up again seems to force the game to check on this.

Does this mod still work? I've equipped a crystal but I can't activate the lightsaber when drafted with a 'lightsaber crystal required' message

Im also having the double blade issue. Blade shows when lightsaber isnt on, then two sabers show when it's activated. Just a heads up.

anyone use melee animation with this mod? I'm having a 2 lightsabers activated while drafted. Ive already disabled the animation for visuals to test if its the issue. Would anyone know of a solution to fix the double animation withhout deactivating the melee animation?

Soooo. The instructions OminousRuin posted about a page ago don't seem to work for me. I have my colonist undrafted, with the lightsaber equipped, and the color crystal on the ground next to them. I try to click the lightsaber on the colonist's gizmo bar, and the game says Disabled: Pawn is not Drafted, same as if I was trying to tell an undrafted pawn to attack something. What am I missing here?

Based on Redeye's post it sounds like the lag was actually due to something else, not the lightsabers' glow effect? Has anyone confirmed this?

Anyone else losing info on pawn when they equip lightsaber? I unequip and it works fine. Equip, and it's gone. I'll try and change mod load order and see if it fixes it. That seems to be my only issue. Also, love the mod.

1. The lightsabre glow causes a ton of lag when it is used. I also had an issue where the glow stayed on after shutting off the sabre, and would only go back after a reload.
2. You are able to manufacture some color crystals, which are appropriately priced at less than 100 silver. However, the Red synthetic crystal is worth $1800, and it is very easy to make, only requiring some stone blocks & a color crystal. It should be a lower price, or it should cost more to infuse them, or make it more expensive to do so.

Yo, first and foremost your this mod is friggin awesome and will forever be my favorite!!! Second, would it bothersome to add more light saber variants as well as the mantle and heart of the guardian crystasl???

For some reason the Lightsaber seems to have absolutely abysmal accuracy, even with 5 points in the accuracy force power. If I give the same paw a regular sword, or even leave him unarmed he actually kills people faster.... But there is also not an error plopping up so I don't really know what to think of this

I just wanted to post here (in case someone hasn't posted recently); to use the color crystal, you have to have the lightsaber equipped, the pawn NOT drafted, and the color crystal OUTSIDE your pawn's inventory (mine was on the ground right next to the pawn). Click on the lightsaber in the main UI and load the crystal.

Can you disable sound of this lightsaber? It's bugged when colonist fight by himself (not by draft) and it's hearing all time, even if lightsaber is off

Hi, loving the mods so far, but I'm having an issue: when my pawn engages in combat against another one who has a lightsaber too, the combat just never ends. And the melee EXP I gain is crazy. Any idea of what could be happening?

Went back a few pages but didn't see a mention of this bug I've been having. After loading a crystal that changes the function of the lightsaber (all of them except the basic color crystals) the basic info tab on the full pawn info window becomes completely blank. I am using A LOT of other mods, but there shouldn't be any conflicts. Anyone else having this problem?
