Besides the 9 saves you think you have, if you go to the savegames directory (Windows Documents folder, look for "Mount&Blade Warband Savegames" then look for the exact folder name of the mod you are interested in if you have several mods you have been playing. If you use WSE or WSE2 there is a different folder with savegames within "Mount&Blade Warband WSE2". When you reach the correct subfolder holding the usual sg00.sav through sg08.sav, (thus 9 visible savegames), those are the savegames shown top left corner is sg00.sav and bottom right corner sg08.sav. For me the easiest is to see the date saved and the most recent one is the character I last was working with. Copy THAT file ctrl-c and paste it ctrl-v then rename the file something useful like appending a character name and a tiny clue as to what made that save important sg00_Harkus_before_import.sav for example. These other savegames still don't show from Warband BUT you can always copy them over an existing save by deleting a sav then renaming the long save name back to in this example sg00.sav again. Now when you start your game you have access to the character as you saved it specially, and could have dozens or more variations accumulated over time. I use these for testing where I saved before a specific big battle or event and I have so many characters I want to write the character's name and what makes that save special.
