it's not complicated to download them from Nexus and ModDB too, you have to download the file and extract the folder inside the modules folder in the game file, what is complicated in this?

ModDb is the Main Mod-Page for Mount and blade. Like Nexus is for Skyrim. I dont think someone can help you by putting all the mods on Steam because it's a decentralized community. It really sucks for me too at the moment because i have a download problem at ModDb (i only get useless white single-files instead of rar : P) Maybe someone can help me.

Mod creators are free to put their mods on wherever they like. For example, I published my mods/ addons/ maps on Nexus, Workshop and ModDB.

For me Workshop looks considerably more difficult to set up but I'll see how it goes later this week. Also workshop looks like it expects more hand holding support, which is fine if the mod has for example 50 users but not good if 50,000.

I managed to add my mod in about 3 1/2 hours. I consider myself skilled for working with Windows and eventually had a trimmed mod that fit all the rules for using the Taleworlds workshop uploader. I still had to leave out source, the Lua tools functions for saving/importing campaigns to a readable/editable text file, and 130 pictorial slides in pdf format as a newb friendly handbook but I had expected to burn 3 days instead of 3 hours. Taleworlds forum had 13 pages of people failing some years ago but by now it is reasonable smooth.
