The template now includes a sheath, and I have updated the guide to explain how to create sheaths.

New version of the template with some cleanup. Also added steel textures to the template for use with texture painting.

Not who you directed it to, but I know Athix, BusinessPenguin, iirc Rick, and iirc Pillar Angel used blender..
