Wind turbine not working??
Hi, have placed a wind turbine on my starter planet and even after some time it does not work. when you approach it with a multitool it says this plant is not growing as it needs to be airtight??? there is a base .5km from me and all their turbines are working, any ideas please?

Have you placed on a turbine base? Are your turbines following the correct environmental conditions as per the tool tip? They need to be with 15-35 degrees c, radiation less than 0.4rad, breathable atmosphere, and if it says not enough light, then raise it up (ie place it on a block under the turbine base). At the end of the day, it's technically a plant, as they are a technical fudge. If a game mechanic is not in the base game, scenario makes cannot put it into their scenario. Wind turbines are not in the base game. So to make them, RE devs had to invent them by fudging the plant growth mechanic onto the wind turbines, so they need the same conditions. So they need time to "grow" (in essence once they are right, it's only 2 minutes in real time) but you must meet the above conditions first.

hi, yes it is on a turbine base but may look at raising it up a little as in a canyon, thank you

The canyon bit is probably why they are not working - the other base, is that on a flat bit of terrain, higher than your base?

The tooltip is telling you why it is not working.

That's literally what the tooltip on the block says lol.
Is the planet a breathable atmosphere and the correct temperature?

When I place a wind turbine I like to follow some rules.
First rule build the base of the turbine on a block that is on the ground that i connected 2 the base

Second rule I only place the last part of the turbine the blades only when the temperature is 21 degrees plus Celsius

Third rule it needs to be a breathable planet and you have to wait like 2-3 mins for the blades to
start spinning

Cool ! A "Biotech" turbine that grows instead of being manufactured. 8-)
