Any way to mod armor to protect vs explosives?
I've tinkered around in the editor but can't seem to find a way to make body armor offer protection vs grenades / explosives. I've tried making grenades have no penetration rating, but they still do full damage to units in heavy armor etc.

Anyone know of a way to do this, or if it's possible?

you can increase the protection of any armor but the defense always lose in JA3 so super heavy protection is penetrated by super heavy penetration, I think it's possible but it would be easier to modify the explosives instead of the armor

Like I said, I tried that. I set the penetration rating of all explosives / grenades to None. But they still ignore all armor (medium, heavy). The penetration rating of grenades / bombs seems irrelevant, they always ignore armor it seems regardless of the rating of the bomb or the rating of the armor. I'm trying to find a way to make it stop ignoring the armor rating, but have had no luck.

has been a long time I messed with this effects but I think it's the explosion itself that can penetrate so you should take a look at the effect

Tactical AI has a mod option that allows to change explosive damage reduction on prone state globally: Global Explosion Resistance Level. From what I know this effects both enemy AI as well as player mercs.
