No mod.info file despite having one. (solved)

I'm trying to make a mod right now, but it keeps saying i dont have a mod.info file despite already having one. any tips?
edit: i just found out i needed to make a additional folder for the mod.info to go in. thank you rainmaker for explaining it.

(Assuming ur modding for B42)

Is it located :
C:\Users\You\Zomboid\Workshop\YourModFolder\Contents\mods\YourModName\42\mod.info ?

And you might also want to put the exact same mod.info file to:
Users\You\Zomboid\Workshop\YourModFolder\Contents\mods\YourModName

I also made a little 6-minute YouTube video on "Project Zomboid B42 - How to Create a Mod" if you want to follow a step-by-step guide. (Shameless I know, but at least I didn't link it ;P)
