Mod to order food and beer in the tavern
Option to order food and alcohol in the tavern, and have them brought to you at the table. Animation to show you eating and drinking while seated at the table. Inside castles would be nice too.

I've been thinking the same
I second this, with added detail: when ordering stood up, items should go into your inventory as normal (let's call it take-away). When seated, the waitress should bring the ordered goods to the table and set them down. You the player, consumes the items with button press triggering a drinking/eating animation. the number of presses/drinks/bites per item should vary depending on the item. So, for example for drinks, a shot of schnapps is down in one. A glass of wine, maybe three sips, a beer, five gulps. Something like that. Then you can have a proper night out in Kuttenberg!
It's possible. The animations exist from KCD - "In the Cloister" quest, Henry sitting and eating out of a bowl. I wonder if it's possible to import animations. WH seems to have recycled a lot of animations from KCD, into KCD2, so it should be doable.

The main issue would be writing and getting a script to fire that would have an NPC (alehouse maid) approach Henry when he sits down, open a dialogue menu, then have the NPC do the "fill bowl of soup" and bring it to Henry.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to edit scripts so it'll have to be a more talented modder.

This would be a nice touch. Henry should even be able to complain about the service like the other NPCs do as well! I feel like a lot of the dialog you need to listen to from NPCs that were sitting at a table with an open seat, could play out in a more natural way by sitting down and engaging in conversation in a totally natural way. Good call!
