Terra Remake: Overhauled & Redistributed

Description
21 Dec 2024 NOTE: Major changes have been implemented to correct "conflicts" between RSS and the vanilla coordinate system that I was previously unaware of. See change log for details.

This is Duke of Lorraine's awesome Terra Remake, with redistributed randomized ore placement, a fixed version of MauseLoch9000's Atmosphere Overhaul, minus the faux water layer, AND an included fully configured planet proxy for Echthros' Real Solar Systems (complete with proxy clouds!)

=============================================================

RSS NOTES:

If you're like me and it scratches your OCD gland when the clouds switch in RSS, here are a couple of fixes:

[Option 1] Firstly, you could try changing the Surface Zone to 0.100. This will keep the game and RSS from teleporting you to a different physical side of the planet in the normal voxel space until you're just about to intersect with the cloud layer. At that point the LOD changes of the surface will be more distracting than the clouds. (Nothing I can do about that, it's SE itself). As seen in the video, it will still have the very obvious proxy swap when entering the orbital zone.
OCD Option 1 Visual

[Option 2] Alternatively, you can make the changes described above AND use the TerraRedistributed-RSS world that is included. It will not have the awesome Far Layer clouds that Terra & Terra Overhauled use, but will instead display the proxy clouds at all levels, until you hit the approximate altitude of the cloud layer itself.
OCD Option 2 Visual

The overhauled clouds from MauseLoch9000's mod are not as striking as Duke of Lorraine's, and that is unfortunate, but you can actually see most of the surface of the planet, it eliminates most of the "planet in a bubble" effect, and it makes it functional for RSS without the even more massive visual change you would get when you enter the orbital zone. As far as I am aware, at this time there is no way to do custom cloud texturing in RSS.

In addition, vanilla planets all face with their "north" poles facing downward, toward Y-. This ordinarily doesn't matter in game play. With Echtros' introduction of planetary orbits, it very much does if one wishes to recreate IRL worlds. The planet's facings have been altered to correct this issue. If you wish to use a HUD compass mod, use hud compass - fixed directions, or the RSS version of Hud Compass, if you're using Real Solar Systems.

=============================================================

Duke of Lorraine's original planet has been designed for use with water mods, otherwise the seas will be missing completely, and the contours of the surface below the waves will be made of water ice.

Currently Jakaria's Water Mod is the best available. Link here : https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2200451495

As of 15 Mar 2025, the water mod settings are included in this mod and the water will appear upon planet creation.

To make a ship float, you must use pressurised volumes as a buoy. Piercing this volume and allowing the air to escape, will make the ship lose buoyancy and eventually sink.

Known Issue: The water will create visible bubbles around the planet's horizon areas when viewed from altitude... researching how to fix this. This issue is mostly mitigated when using the OCD options above.

Try my own Solar System remake for RSS.
Realistically aligned 1:10000 orbits, time-scaled for the 2 hour long Vanilla SE day, with visually re-scaled proxy worlds to avoid the kid's bedroom space-themed wallpaper effect. (No longer being updated, in favor of the newer version, below)

Here is a newer version, with the Main Asteroid Belt and Greek/Trojan clusters which physically follow Jupiter as it orbits.

To be clear, both versions will work for RSS. The separate version was meant to mitigate the changes in the cloud layer when you enter the Surface Zone. You'll probably want to set the radius for that as 0.1 or so, though, or the clouds will completely disappear long before you enter the atmosphere.

@CrimsonLegion94 TerraRedistributed & I'm pretty sure it's TerraRedistributed-RSS. I'll check on that last one and correct myself if necessary when I get home. Can't access the file from my phone.

What should we use as the planet name if we want to use other respawn ships? Especially for the RSS preset world.
