Bug Report
Altought this mod awesomeness in reshaping the psi experience, there are some issues to address. This thread intends to relay that material for authors to review and use for improvement.

1. Submitting a soldier to psi training screws up his/her name, which in turn might cause other malfunctions and bugs: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1287755424 . Also, it would be nice to fix that bugged psi training button, so that to work as vanilla.

2. Proximity mines somehow deal more damage if thrown by a psi soldier, more than twice as much - is that intended? Could be a small bug on this mod if not on my savegame.

3. Ability icons panel became overcrowded with psi abilities, which causes some to fall out of the limited 30 panel slots, hence inaccessible. Yes, there is a mod for such fix called “Unlimited Ability Icons” by “bg”, but it is not updated for WotC and he does not seem keen to do so anytime soon. Would be nice if you could work this out?

4. Grimy’s Loot Mod WOTC: it would be nice to work compatibility out? Upgraded psi amps fail to be available for soldiers to equip for no apparent reason, which could be a bug.

5. Tried to exclude “rend” ability from psi training pool, but did not work - see my comment below. Can you please help out? It just does not make sense for all soldiers to have it, as they do not carry a templar shard gaunlet.

6. Psi power: 15+-10 stat increase per ability just might be OP, however makes sense at first. The mechanics yields a psi power average close to 300 points, enough to mind control any enemy with a 100% chance, and 50% more than an avatar with 200. Maybe a suitable alternative would be rework it to average 200 instead, and allow additional training, beyond abilities, to further improve psi power?

7. Sometimes the psi amp fails to appear when performing a psi attack. Even on a void rift https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1287601111 sometimes secondary attacks fail show it. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1287603119 If this is just a visual bug, no worries, but could it be a sign of some other malfunction?

8. Assigning a soldier who is currently in psi training to a covert action does not work as intended: at first s/he looks like being assigned, no problem, but in reality s/he is not, for as time elapses s/he completes his/her psi training, at which point s/he voids the ongoing covert action. The result is you loose the covert action completely, an still has to wait for it to finish in order to start a new one.

So far the only of these glitches I've even run into is this. Getting any fix to this would be amazing.

i cant even try it out, my game crash like a wrecked car with this mod enable. lol

Well, it certainly has been a while. And I see something broke due a fix made in the Highlander. An update should be coming soon for that.

The extra characters are what makes their name turn the same purple color as Psi Ability icons use.

There really isn't anything I can do about this, to be honest.

I might investigate this. Maybe. Probably not any time soon, though...

The ability list is generated based on the XComLatentPsionics.ini list. Just change:

+PsionAbilityTree=(Rank=2, AbilityName="Psion_Rend")
to:
+PsionAbilityTree=(Rank=2, AbilityName="")

And the ability won't show up.

As for the Shard Gauntlet comment... They do, actually. As long as they a Templar ability (such as Rend itself), one will be created and equipped on the soldier. They are also given an invisible psi amp under similar conditions.

You can adjust these values in the .ini files if you so desire.

The animation expects the Psi Amp to be there but one will only be visible if you actually have a Psi Amp equipped. So... less visual bug and more visual... um, consequence?

I can't say I've ever had this crash on me. It's probably two or more mods interacting in unexpected ways OR a different mod crashing. Disable all mods but this one (and highlander) and enable mods one by one until it crashes. And, yes, cosmetic mods *can* cause crashes.

@Kyuubicle : Thanks for the reply and yup, i am using tons load of comestic mods, i firgure out not your mod causing the crash because i am having the same problem again mid campaign, up to the point after i killed 3 chosens, could be UI mod also, i kinda firgure out there is 50% chance my game would crash at mission loading scene or mission finishing screen, reload and it will be ok but the chance happen again for next mission. Up to this point i really want to enable this mod since i really want PSI guy come with me but the squad limit is 6 only so i have to let him staying home, with this mod enable i could finally have PSI guys coming with me, anyway fantastic mod, thanks

I have an issue where a skirmisher with The Gift is assigned to the psi lab for training, but now his name is permanantly listed as in the psi lab, even though he is not. I have the upgrade for two cells, but can now only use one. I'm even able to assign him to the other cell, and his name doesnt dissappear from the other cell, however i can pause his training using either cell. I do not get a drop-down menu when clicking on the glitched instance of his name. I am not having this issue with any of my other soldiers with The Gift

I run on linux so no comunity hilander and this mod can fail (quite) often at end of mission just before the speaches are done. I think it is related to a roll with no one granted or the spark is granted i don't know, if you can fix this i would enable the mod, now i need to disable to ba able to end the missisons
