You can not clone attributes changing their names, as indeed the game breaks. if you want to create new units or new skills you must use any attribute that is not in use (the vast majority of the attributes of the campaign) and change attributes.
Not a replacement of a model, but an update or investigation similar to that used with plasma guns.
You can change any attribute of the squads or the instances, so if you want to modify the animations of a unit you can do it perfectly or its main and secondary weapons, or its armor model or the way it is reinforced ... You can Do practically everything you want with certain exceptions and limitations of the tool. Another thing is to know how to do it, since unfortunately 99% of what I know how to do it I have learned it alone, based on errors and investing many hours, since unfortunately there are no tutorials on this tool.
In other words - you spent too much time mastering it to share with anyone just so? It's understandable. Still, I'm humbly asking you to teach me, how to make heavy weapons upgrades for TSM (and, maybe ML and HB for Scouts). To be clear - changing all weapons in the squad (like it's done with plasmaguns) is not what I'd like to do (I've got Devastators with 4 heavy weapons in my mod), but something similar to flamer or ML upgrade. I managed to add these upgrades as such, but - still cannot understand, how to add respective animations for them.
They are the only race that can adapt to any strategy and in any situation, in a very simple way.
Their pro is that they are strong, versatile and in long runs they are devastating and their counterpart is that they are the most expensive breed and the one that is hardest to maintain at the beginning.
Thanks for your comment and I'm very happy that you like the mod.
It'd be a massive change if it's not. It's revived the game for me.
