There were a few other mods that I disabled, no change. Disabling Zeppelin fixed it. Too tired/lazy to make a new world and test pure Zeppelin.
Edit: Searching Thruster does not cause crash, but doesn't let you build it either.

2) Gyros are not "let go" when zep control is turned off. Gyros will turn off automatically when I try and turn them on in the gyro control panel.
Both make my hybrid zeppelin/space ship sad.
