EDITOR’S NOTE: This was written just prior to the review section being opened, and was edited down to fit in the comment section format. This one, however, is the full, original, and certainly unadulterated article in its entirety.

Malchezzar's first attempt at a mod would be many other modmaker's wet dream. This mod is absolutely game changing, and without this mod I certainly wouldn’t have done as many runthroughs of Divinity 2 as I have done now. The 1000+ hours I've logged on this game are a testament to the brilliance of Malchezzar's ingenuity as well as his incredibly strong morals.

While the weapons (and as of more recently, complete armor sets) can be construed as OP by some, this is really not going to an issue to most- Malchezzar chooses to remain tight-lipped about where exactly these uniques are located. He’s always around and always willing to point you in the right direction because yes, he is that nice of a guy, but I still suspect he was likely at one point a world-class hide and seek champion at some point early in his life.

Some might view his refusal to share item locations as arrogant, obnoxious, or even sadistic (the lattermost I have called him frequently) but he has NEVER placed an item in a location that is completely out of the way or leave you saying "well how the hell am I supposed to get up there?"

In fact, most of his uniques are thematically placed, so fire weapons are likely to be near a source of constant flame; lightning weapons near a source of lightning; and with the recent addition of the completed armor sets in Act 3, you can expect that motif as well.

That is why, despite your frustrations of "oh I cant find this, and oh I looked everywhere” –you still won’t get a straight answer out of him. (he’s always kind enough to give a ballpark figure as to where it is, but that’s all you’re getting),
You can't help but have respect for the man for sticking to his guns and his morals.

Oh and by the way, you DO know he designed every single one of these weapons, including their models, their unique abilities, and hell, even their graphic effects, were ALL done from SCRATCH and done ALL BY HIMSELF, right?! That alone should give a deep appreciation of the prodigy that is Malchezzar, and on his maiden project, no less!

So to summarize, if you can't be bothered to read a review-
“BonusUniques” by Malchezzar is definitely a MUST-HAVE in your collection;
and if you haven't already subscribed and favorited this mod at this point,

Then I highly recommend you go to a doctor ASAP.
Because your brain just ain't workin’ right.

Whats with all the wands? lol. I mean I've found like 10 unique wands before I even got out of the actual fort and a single 2h sword (Holon) and a single staff (Druids Staff).

Everything I've found so far looks pretty dope though good job on all that. The wands are super shiny and so is Holon. Too bad my 2h guy uses hammers though.

The fact a bunch of them have an ability or two added to them helps flesh out early game characters pretty well too.

They may be a bit powerful for just a normal game but I have a bunch of mods that make the encounters more difficult and running on Tactician so they fit in nicely.

@Rip McFlexington Glad you are enjoying it! There are a ton of wands in act 1 but that is because they have the most variations for builds, the later acts have different weapon/armor variations. I suggest looking through the google doc spreadsheets to keep track of what you've found and what is out there, since some of the weapons you mentioned are actually from Feenix's mods and not mine. Also, if you ever find that the items are too strong you can turn off the auto leveling in the mod book. Happy Hunting!
