Units
Not everyone will like every unit, but the idea is that there is enough you can use some you like, and not use the ones you don't. Is there a unit out of balance? Is a unit broken? Or is there a unit rome could really use?

I know people like the idea of regional units, but that's not a priority for now.

I think you alrday know urban cohort and urban guard is actually the same thing. And I still don't like the idea of praetorian archer very much, or a roman slinger with 6 point armor peneration.

Can't find Pike Auxilia to recruit. Already researched highest military research and built required buildings. Also I seem to can only build one of the 5th tier auxiliary and baracks, was that the intention?

That was a mistake on my part, I just uploaded a fixed version, so they should show up now.

hello,

great jobs, but the mod works correctly, but the names of the new unit does not appear, help me how I can do to make it appear

While I'm impressed with most of the units, and ESPECIALLY with the buildings (just blown away by the attention to historical detail and clean tooltips/perks) - I'd like to second the earlier poster's problem with the Praetorian Archer unit. It doesn't strike me as something ringing remotely of any sort of of authenticity, and it feels awkward and undignified for a Roman Imperial guard unit. Plus the option for general seems bizarre and adds clutter.

Maybe some barbarian factions would be led by "ranger" types, but a Roman legion is going to be led by a knight in a large hat with a short sword. Anything else just seems silly. Otherwise it mostly looks amazing so far.

Oh, how about some Frumentarii units as well to serve as an alternative to Arcani with different abilities? That'd be cool.

i got the mod, its great so far, only problem is that when i do custom battles the only units available to me are urban cohorts, praetorian auxillia and the assassin looking guys (with the masks and two swords.) but nothing else? how can i fix this probelm?? cheers.

I'm having trouble with the auxiliary barracks as the archers are not being shown on the recruitment screen.
I have a lvl 3 auxillary barracks and the training reforms.
Im running patch 15, the light auxilliares are the only ones recruitable.

Thanks for the great mod though, your efforts made the game worth playing for me.
