any possibility of setting it up so the game activates this after you defeat alduin or somthing to make more lore sense as to why one Dragon born is like this and one isn't
I mean otherwise this looks like a insane mod i'd love
[The Idea]: Warm Dragon Souls! It'd probably have to be a separate addon, as it would require Frostfall, but the idea would be that when you absorb a dragon soul (either after dragonslaying or when reviving) your exposure resets to completely warm. This may or may not be considered 'lore friendly' or 'immersive', but there are a couple reasons I think it would be.
First off, [The Why]. This is a dragon soul we're talking about. I can't help but think they'd be warm, and I can't imagine absorbing a dragon's soul for any reason not warming the player. This is why I consider it 'lore-friendly'. It's immersive because it answers the Frostfall-revival death cycle; -You just came back from the dead.-
Wait, wait. You just used a Dragon Soul to avoid an early trip to Sovngarde.... But -hypothermia- is what beats your death-defying ability? How immersive is that?
Now, [The How]. I've devised two possible ways, with my little bit of study into Papyrus. Unfortunately I'm not completely sure how feasible either one is, -but- they should both be really simple to code.
[Method 1]: Probably the easiest. Warm player on a conditional check for Dragon Soul count change, with a second conditional checking for the Magic Menu -NOT- being open.
Pros to method 1: The conditional check for the Magic Menu refutes the possibility of warming when learning Shouts, but will warm the player when dragon souls are gained or lost.
Cons to method 1: Other mods that use Dragon Souls for various purposes will also warm the player, for example the Flying mod that consumes a dragon soul to allow the player to fly.
[Method 2]: Warm player on DragonAbsorbEffect animation start, perhaps on a five second wait, to allow time for the animation to have progressed some.
Pros to method 2: Probably even simpler than the previous one and won't trigger for any reason other than animation play.
Cons to method 2: Other instances throughout the game that use the same animation (DragonAbsorbEffect) will warm the player, but aside from dragon kills I don't know of any. Similarly to method 1, mods that use the animation (such as the previously mentioned Flying Mod) would also warm the player, but I don't see it hurting much.
I tried to figure exactly how this would be done, but, other than finding a number of relevant items through studying scripts, I couldn't manage to put together something functional.
Community interest, anyone?
P.S.: I love Frostfall. I love the difficulty and complexity it, and all the other mods I run, can add to my gameplay. I just find certain things that seemingly -could- affect exposure are worth trying, for the sake of immersion or maybe even just fun.
TL;DR: Holy mother of posts. In short; a separate Frostfall addon; dragon souls warm player. If interested, scroll up and look for [The How] or just read the post! x3
