Report a translation problem
Here are some mods I can recommend. Please read the descriptions of these mods to prevent issues with load order or other required patches/mods:
- Lua for Barotrauma as it is required for some mods. (Install client side lua by enabling the mod, hosting a server from the main menu but changing the executable to lua and then typing "install_cl_lua" into the F3 console while in the lobby)
- Performance Fix for better performance with all the mods | Requires Lua
- Barotraumatic for an even more increased spawnrate
- Barotraumatic Creature Pack + all the listed required mods for more creature variety
- Improved Husks for more husk enemies and more advanced/harder symbiosis or Improved Husks - Sya's Iteration for vanilla symbiosis
- Hungry Europans for cooking, butchering, alcohol rework and optional hunger and thirst
- Frith's Biomes + DynamicEuropa - Frith's Biomes Compatibility Patch for better textures
- Real Sonar + Real Sonar - Affliction Performance Fix for better sonar sounds and actual dangers (can be configured) | Requires Lua
- New Wrecks for Barotrauma + Moveable and Sellable Wrecks for more interesting and dynamic wrecks | Requires Lua
- ADV Beacon Stations for a ton of new and unique beacon stations
Weapon overhauls:

- Combat Overhaul Legacy + DynamicEuropa - COL Compatibility Patch (Performance intensive mods)
Option 2:
- Enhanced Armaments + Enhanced Armaments DynamicEuropa Patch

I started my first game today but apparently DE wasn't even active lol. I somehow missed the part of the LUA thing. Need to pay more attention to the small details.

Maybe it's a good thing that I left that one out. Sounds a bit convoluted to me.
If anything I'm looking for things to correct the pacing issues inherent to DE. Wish there was a mod to pay wages to your bot crew and maybe docking fee's at stations.
That would be neat if you managed something like that.
You would think the increased level of carnage would balance it out somewhat, but while the game is technically very hard now, it's paradoxically very easy on the financial layer, so much so that I've had to edit tier 2 ships to cost 50k+ just to put some meaning back into money.
It's fun failing and barely surviving, but you quickly reach a point where there is zero pressure on you to be resourceful or discerning.
I'm at a point now, roughly 14 hubs traversed, where I could just blow right through the next 20 hubs without doing a single mission or selling anything. It would be great for us masochists if there was a similar strain on finance as there is for tactical play.
I think your job will be hard though as you'd have to develop it under a presupposition of a certain type of mod config- namely the mainstream hairy/scary overhauls such as the one's you suggested to me earlier. Without those, DE is really only the foundation and not the core of the pacing problem.
