Spawning colonial nations doesn't seem to spawn flags with them. Not sure if this is a bug or just an oversight but for multiplayer games it would be nice if there could be a partner mod to this one which fixes that or just implemented into this mod itself.

That there is no flag and it is displayed in gray? Or that you can't customize the flag freely?

The flag that spawns for colonial nations, for example in my case netherlands south africa, it spawns a black and red diagonal flag like used for some rebels.

none of the customization options work, name color, flag, background ect,

It is a specification, it is written in the mod description section.

Some ET countries have their flags swapped with other countries
