Human Hides and Leather: Discuss!
Thoughts? Currently there is no human leather in game with MO installed - I could easily add in a hide with the correct leather - question is: would y'all hate a custom "human" hide graphic... 👀

As an example of what a custom human hide might look like ☝️

I am of two minds:
1. This is outside the theme of the mod; there are no faces on the other hides. Something more subtle might look better.

2. That's quite creepy, and might be just the thing to fit an evil cannibal playthrough.

Not today, but I could figure out the vanilla framework expanded code to allow you to pick between a "horror" version for cannibal runs, and a toned down version for folks who find it upsetting (altho.. 👀 it is human leather lol)

In terms of scope - the real reason I wanted to add human hides back is to lay the groundwork for another mod idea I was working on - LAVA's HUMANE FURNITURE ;)

But yeah, I am of the mind to agree - it might be best to split it off into it's own thing :D

As an options maybe but I too think it's a bit too different from the rest. IMO if you want to differentiate human hide from the others add a stretched out face on the regular texture, eye holes and mouth.

Something like that. That way you have a face but it doesn't throw off the jive of the rest of the textures. Just my thoughts on the matter.

Maybe have two textures, with two recipes, faceless recipes = 90% butchering efficiency?
Or a headless, spread eagle skin?

All I was saying is, there's an assumed brutality when butchering animals with cute faces. Not sure if a pawn comfortable with animal butchery would only be turned off by human butchery because it has a face on it. Or put another way, I don't think an existence of a face could make or break someone IRL recognizing human skin.

But, an evil cannibal playthrough theoretically isn't spending a lot of effort skinning deer, so the brutality is no longer assumed.

I could make it an ideology thing with style perhaps - I dunno if it works for items, but it'd be cool for face skins for "brutal" style or whatever it's called :D

If that doesn't work, a menu toggle would be the best bet :')

Morbid style? Have a human rug. Variants of furs beds, that sorta thing
I need human leather for dark decent ♥♥♥♥♥
