Weird fire mode bug?

This weird bug started happening recently. It's similar to the bug that M9K base had, in which when you switch fire modes, the client-side doesn't register it properly so it gets desynced with the server, causing this crazy glitch.

Is this a result of a recent GMod update or is it an addon confliction? In case you need to know, I'm running with 64-bit on the x86-64 branch of GMod.

it should not desync, even theoretically - networkvars are always synced to clients
is this p2p by any chance?

Yeah, I usually run on multiplayer the majority of the time I start a listen server.
Is there any hooks that the firemode is used in? I'm going to check to see if there is a conflict with one of the addons I have.

i don't think so
it might be just a p2p issue, singleplayer works fine and dedicated server works fine
i have absolutely no clue what could cause such a desync really
