Classes and Skills
Any comments on the classes or skills folks? What's good and what's crap?

What do you think of the classes using one element each for skills? This is a 'gimmick' idea, so I'm not sure how well it works.

Any thoughts?

2-3 elements per class would be (more work i know, but...) better I think, and maybe with some overlap. could turn into some interesting combinations between classes

Hi Andross64. Thanks for the feedback.

I've been thinking the same thing, using 2-3 per class. Any suggestions for how it could be distributed among the classes?

I could perhaps picture it like this

Stormborn: Lightning and Ice (Too similar to the Berserker?)

Nightshade: Poison and Fire. (Seems like the only "logical" Rogue combo)

Hexhunter: Fire and Lightning. (Also seems "logical" to me)

Spellblade: Ice and Poison. (This combo seems a bit weird)

That should overlap all elements, if the classes use two each. Any comments?

as much a i hate to say it i would really like to see a version of the glaive throw on hexhunter, maybe because im accustomed to outlander but personally i love that skill and the hex is perfect class to have it. poison glaive maybe? in the end its up to you obviously but i know i'd be into the class even more

Hey Wolven,

I honestly like the single-element approach for PvP. Slightly gimmicky, but also gives each class a distinctive feel.

@BadProxy: I was playing with the idea of using one of the Galvie skills on the Hexhunter. As you say, it's the right class for that weapon. I opted it out this time around, because I felt the class had enough ranged skills, and I also wanted to give it melee abilities in addition. And if things go the way i want for this mod, there will be several additional classes added. One of the classes I've been thinking about creating use the Glavie, both as melee and ranged weapon.

The skills as they are now, (for any of the classes) are not set in stone by any means. I'm sure once we've manage to test all the skills properly, a good deal of them will be changed for something different. So the Glavie may well appear as a skill for the Hexhunter.

@gytfunke: Thanks mate. Glad to hear your opinion on this. That was what I was a aiming for. I want the classes to have their own feel, and I want them to be easily recognizable by other players in the heat of combat, so you know what you're up against right there and then.
