Bugs, Incompatibilities and Issues
Let me know if something seems amiss here. Please give actual helpful information such as turn times, factions, other mods that may be involved, etc... I can't do much if I don't know any of the factors involved.


Things that are not bugs:

The Geomantic Web becoming locked after usage. This is intentional. It has a cooldown period. Just wait. If it's not available after 10 turns, you have the required Geomantic Energy and are not using a mod that affects the same mechanic, then let me know.

Any issues that arise as a result of using this mod with an overhaul such as SFO, Radious, Duke's Damned Nations/whatever. If there isn't a specific submod made to make those those overhauls and this mod compatible (and there is none as far as I know), then they are not meant to be paired and it is not my problem. I will delete any comments mentioning them.


Known issues:

Dread Saurian upgrades don't work. CA faction locked them with 6.0. There's a mod you can use to unlock them, and there may be a solution I can implement at some point when I get around to looking at it.


Issues I don't know the cause of and/or or solution to:

Multiplayer desyncs or issues - nothing I can do for you. It's a problem for most larger mods and I don't have the required knowledge to traverse that minefield, nor do I care to as I have never played a multiplayer campaign and never will.

Crashes occur upon starting a campaign with this mod while using a Mac. This does not happen on PC, so I can't help you. And if you're using Apple products you're likely beyond help anyway.

Sacrifice Mechanic can be broken slightly by opening it on a new turn start without closing event notifications. Seems to return to normal upon reloading.


Incompatibilities with other mods:

Any mods that alter the Lizardmen tech tree are incompatible as this mod disables all vanilla techs and completely replaces the tree with one of my own design.

Mods that add new skills to Lizardmen characters are probably incompatible as I already add and alter various skills.

Expanded Lizardmen Hero Skill trees does have a submod though: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3436638000

Any mod that adds a Mortuary Cult style addition to the Lizardmen, such as "Warhammer Coins + Fusions" or "Vanilla Item Shop" can cause the Geomantic Reservoir options to lock after use.

Thunder Lizard mod gives Mazdamundi an unloreful new mount and as such it uses vanilla spells and not his new selection.

I had a weird one happen: In Gor-Rok's quest battle, Nakai has a unit of Pink Horrors - they don't do anything either, just sit there. Just happened, I'll need to reset to see if it is a conflicting Mod or not

For Mazdamundi's banner "Sunburst Standard of Hexoatl", it still shows the missile resistance buff, even though it gives 0% missile resistance.

That's a vanilla issue, been there since IE.

Some bugs I noticed:

In the "Unit & Spell Browser section (not the skirmish vs AI custom battles), the Skink Priests of Light and Metal are missing unit cards (they just have question marks over their unit cards).

The 3D porthole for Feral Great Wyrm doesn't have the model in it ingame. It appears just as an empty porthole.
Thanks for this amazing mod Obsidian; I'm loving the chameleon lords in my Oxyotl campaign !:)

Here's the bugs I've found so far - I tried to check all the slann mainly
1) Eyes are not visible on the 3d models of all the Slann - including Mazdamundi
2) Rite of Awakening does not summon a Slann from Lore of Metal (a Slann with High Magic appears instead); the other lores all seem to work fine
3) On the campaign screen, the porthole camera is too close up on Slann from the lores of Shadows, Heavens, Beasts, and Death (possibly Metal too but I can't summon him to check)
4) The Slann of Heavens has the wrong pics on the recruitment screen and as a unit (I'm guessing they're the default lord/unit ones)
5) The Slann of Death looks amazing, but the bottom of his earrings seem to cut into his cheeks when his head moves
6) The Slann of Light doesn't have a throne on the details character screen
7) Only the tails of the Coatl heroes are visible on the same screen

1) Are they not visible at any point? Slann have their eyes closed except when casting or when you click on them in campaign.

2) Haven't been able to replicate this, I get a Metal Slann when I select it. Can you try disabling all your other mods and start up a new campaign, load up on 20 units and the test it? Probably best to do it on easy/easy. It takes a bit of turn time but it'd be handy.

3) Yeah, character porthole stuff is a pain.

4) Ah, yeah. Whoops. Fixing that.

1) Yes they seem to be visible in battle - my Metal slann had flaming eyes which was cool. I can see what you're going for now but I think with some of the lighter coloured Slann the eyes being shut isn't that obvious - maybe you could add a thin line of light shining through from the eyeball or something. Just a thought.

2) I did as you requested, and yes it does work. I'm not sure which mod is the one that is stopping it in my current campaign though.

3) Yeah it looks complicated :/

4) & 6) Sweet as.

5) My bad - should have checked! I'm actually in the process recolouring each of the five variants for each of the slann according to lore (so they'll effectively have the their original plus four recolours) so I could do four more for each of your additional lores too if you like? It's not too much trouble and I'd probably do it as a personal mod anyways as having loads of duplicate characters kinda bugs me. I'm really loving the variance in Chameleon Sentinels btw - they're really awesome.

7) Yeah I can imagine. Can you copy how they scaled the Lord of Change? Because that's the closest flying character I can think of. Oh and please forgive the pun haha.

Well I'd be interested in seeing those recolours, but to add more variants I'd need to do more portrait and unitcard stuff and I've gotta be honest, that's soul-distressingly boring and time consuming. I spent like 2 days straight before release doing it for the various additions and it burnt me out hard.

You can thank Calm for the Sentinels - he actually made another purple variant as well but I decided to cut it. 3 would have been enough for me personally.

Maybe I can fix it, I'll look into it.

Alright, I fixed most of the issues I think. Coatls do now show up but I warn you, it's still got problems that are beyond me to resolve.

Game crashes on launch even with the mod disabled. I had to remove the mod completely and game ran fine after that

Uh. That's odd. Have you tried resubscribing and does the issue still happen? Might be a corrupted download.

I just completed the Kroak battle as Oxyotl and the old dude is MIA - never spawned from what I can tell...

That's unusual but I don't touch Oxyotl at all and Lord Kroak barely. And certainly not any quest battles.
