Possible issues, one cursory and another possible softlock.
I love the fact that so much dedication has been put forward to make this recreation of a classic game be made so close to the original EOB:2, played the heck out of the original more than its first one.

One issue came to mind as I played through and retraced my steps through some locations, and found a possible issue, unless it's done on purpose in such a way -- Azure Tower 3, the 'A little pain now' door that opens upon activation of the switch the first time around, seems to have issues opening a second time when you leave the area. Inside the area is a button you can press to open/close on the side where the pressure plate is, though it might override the button on the stone-face side. Is this intentional?

Might have found another issue, thought it might just be I forgot a specific item that I could use. Frost Giants, the leader gives me the dialogue, ending in '...and so I doth decree.' and the only option is to close the dialogue. The room is empty, no prompt shows up, and the only thing in the room is the portal sign and the indent for the gem, but no gem drops here. I swear, if this is some sierra-level softlocking of 'Oh you need the gem from the drow temple' I'm gonna scream.

The only reason I'm calling this one out is, in the original is supposed to be a different item that drops that you would put up to create the portal out. I know the stone portal thing wasn't possible with the Grimrock game, and this is the workaround, but.. am I missing something?

As for the "little pain now" door, the wall button on the stone face side is supposed to open the door, while the button on the plate side is supposed to toggle the door open and close. I am not sure, why the door wouldn´t open again from the stone face side if you leave the area with the door closed. I can´t recreate the situation where the door would remain closed the second time the party comes to Azure 3 again from the stone face side. In any case, you can use the console to open the door with the following command:

Regarding the issue with the stone portal at the end of the Frost Giant Prison Level. There are two Stone Portal Keys in the game. The first one you definitely found was in the Drow Temple. The other one, you probably didn´t find, was in the Azure Tower 4, in the Ghost Labyrinth. They both activate the stone portal. The Frost Giant King, however, does not yield the Stone Portal Key in the original, but he yields the third and last piece of Talon, that you need to open the access to the Crimson Tower. In this mod, I replaced the three Talon pieces with three items called Strange Ore. The last piece of this Ore is not dropped by the King himself, but I put it in an alcove next to where the dialogue with the King takes place.

It is true, that if a player does not bring the Stone Portal Gem from Drow Temple and does not find the second Stone Portal Gem in the Azure Tower 4, they might find themselves softlocked in this area. The same is true for the original. I hope, that you read the comment from 9th Feb in the comment section, where another player found himself in the similar situation. The only solution to this situation (other than reloading an older savegeme) is to use the console again and spawn the Portal Gem Key with the command:
spawn("itm_gem_blue_01")
