Defaulting the weapon interaction key to a button from the right controller.

Weapons are held by default with the right controller, but the key to interact is on the left. Would feel a bit more natural to interact using the hand that's actually holding the gun.

Like the sawn-off, currently you break it with the other hand. I'd think remapping the crouch or jump button from the right hand to something else would be ideal to replace it there.

An option (next to undo for instance) to empty the player's inventory, for when you spawn way too many weapons and it gets cluttered.

Currently the only solution i know is respawning.

Actually it sets the command to force VR on the map change, but as long as you use the VR map menu. As for controls it's purely subjective, as you can just change them yourself and there are always gonna be people who not gonna like the defaults. I am thinking on extending quick menu with custom commands eventually, so you will be able to add thing just like you suggested.

Strange, i felt something was odd because there's even an option to auto-start it when booting a map the first time but it never worked for me.

Heh, gmod sometimes block commands, also if you quit without disconnecting convars won't save. Can't really enforce that even more than it already is

Ahh, i probably abused the quit command instead of properly disconnecting, i'll try that next time.
something i suggest that i just think improves the looks doesn't affect functionality would be fixing the grip on shotguns so your hand isn't just sliding around all over the gun

I assume you are talking about ArcVR. I am not really focusing on that it'a more of a testing ground for development of the main thing. However if you feel like helping, you can find both packs on my github profile and try to mess around with these offsets. Then just submit a PR and I will update the workshop.

If you are not talking about those, but in general, here the truth: for VR you need to adjust the offset + finger poses to male it look nice.


I might add finger offset to "Adjust weapons" menu later on tho.
I may have a strange idea, and it may be very difficult to implement, but as an idea, it supports DrGBase. This means that you can possess NPCs that require DrGBase and control them by moving their arms and using their abilities. Additionally, you can freely pick up other NPCs and do whatever you want.:steamhappy:

This sounds like the case where you should ask the developer of that addon to make it work with VR. I am not going to adapt VRMod to work with every single 3rd party addon in the workshop. Best I can do I to improve the API for other developers.

I hate ALVR it sucks its slow and is kinda confusing to use I rather use WinVRn.
I hope you could add it or a separate mod for it

I was considering to rewrite backend to natively work with OpenXR, because I was so done with crashing steamVR compositor , but then I found a way. This mod seems heavily depended on steamVR, so it will be a major rewrite in order to make it work with winvrn. Not sure if I am ready for that yet.

But who knows, maybe one day :profgenki:
