No Floppy Hats mods seem to disable some of the gore effects for some reason, instead of seeing actual dismemberment gore all you see is a head/arm come off but there's no flesh rendered at the point of dismemberment. Basically when I look at what is supposed to be the fleshy stump of an empire soldier's arm, I can see right through the soldier, the gore textures on dismemberment just aren't being rendered because of these mods. --from comments, for archive

Excellent, thank you for the report CommisarRotke. I'm current on a monthlong hiatus/vacation, but I should be back in half a week or so. I'll begin work on that fix when I return!
