This game has changed quite a bit since I last played it in 2018. The game is now free because Warhammer Darktide is on its way, at the time of this review.

I played this game during a free weekend back in the 2018 and I did not like it. But since the updates over the years it really has gotten that spin and shine look.

I would say get this game because it's free. I would say if you don't have back 4 blood in your library and didn't want to spend 60$ on a left 4 dead clone from wish, then I would say it's another reason to get this game.

Get it while it's free.

Let me explain how the game works so you have a better sense on how the gameplay is like.

This is a motorcycle racing game, similar to other games in the genre like, Mario Kart and Vigilante 8, so you race and use weapons and collectables to over power your competition.

In the game you can swing with your equipped weapon (left) or (right) side of the motorcycle. You can also kick but it is only one button and hits I think the closest person to the motorcycle. There is also a grab button but it's not like the orginal where you steal weapons. You grab the other rider and slam his face on the handle bars. If the player has low hp it will one shot them. Some enemies don't die instantly to this grab. There is also a turbo in the game that can boost you forward. There is also a jet pack that only works in moderation.

So those are the controls of the game and what you can do. Now how the game worked on the Sega Gensis is that it was a race to the finish. Same thing here, but the Sega version didn't lock you to other riders. What that means is that as you get closer to another rider they make it so that AI (CPU) stays with you side by side. Now there are 2 ways to advance in the ranking in a race on Road Redemption. You can either Nitro boost past them, or you can "defeat" them. What that means is the game makes it so you can fight or flight. When you kill or knock off a rider off his bike, you then advance in that rank. The more riders you defeat you get closer to the next rider and the next until you are number one. Then the game does a good job at trying to make sure you do no finish 1st. They come so fast from behind, and you have to defend that crown.

The gameplay is great, I can still focus on racing and dodging things and at the same time still enjoy bashing faces with my lead pipe. The sound effect and the animations of the weapons hitting other riders feels so good. The impact of each swing you can feel. It felt just as satisfying as it did on the Genesis when you hit someone with that chain and see the rider get clothes lined off his bike.

There are guns in the game, pistol, automatic, shotgun. Then they also added explosives. Timed pipe bombs, sticky charges, and grenade launcher. Guns are very powerful in the game and make the game sometimes easy.

The progession in the game is you play a campaign mode, and you have only one health bar. You have to reach the end on that one health bar. If you die, it's back to start. As you progress through the campaign and die over and over, you will be granted XP on a tree. The tree unlocks new bikes and other things like, more xp, more gold, and other things.

Each Rider has specific weapons they can use. After each race you get gold based on how well you did in that race. Then you buy random power ups that show up randomly at the menu screen before the next race. Some power ups are, upgrade heavy weapon, upgrade long weapon. More ammo, more gold, and so forth. And you try and get to the final boss at end.

Here are weapon break down

Blades - Pro, shields, no helmet, fast attack. Con, weak damage to riders with helmets.
Long weapons - Pro, long range, decent damage. Con, slow swings
Heavy weapons - Pro, strong damage. Con, short range, slow swings
Guns - Pro, range targeting. Con, vulnerable to melee attacks
Eplosives - Pro, multikills. Con, can kill self by accident

So far I like the game for what it is. On the Genesis version, you had to pace the riding to go toe to toe with someone. In this game I like that the AI rides next to you without you needing to adjust speeds. So you can line that swing up, and It's so good to kick players into cars. So satisfying in every way.

Early Access Review
If you like games like Destiny 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Firefall, Starship Troopers, Aliens vs Predator, Defiance, and many more in that catagory, then you will love this game. It's a Pve 4 player co-op first person shooter.

You play a dwarf and you get to choose between 4 classes.

Scout - lights dark areas and has a grappling hook.
Engineer - can place turrets and can make platforms on any surface.
Gunner - can place permanent zip lines that you can travel back and forth on.
Driller - has drills that can cut through the terrain with ease.

You play missions with 3 others collecting minerals to buy upgrades for that class. You also level up depending on which class you chose to complete the mission.

When you start a mission there are goals to complete before extraction. Most are collection, some are elimination (nests or big bugs) After you complete, you can still explore and collect more loot for more pay out at end.

Game mechanics rely on team work to get anything done. Most minerals are not just sitting at ground level, some minerals need team work to mine. Like for instance the engineer can lay a platform right under a deposit, and a scout can use his grappling hook to zip over and mine safely.
There is also friendly fire, but the damage is much lower than the damage you do to bugs.
Every class gets a main weapon, a side weapon, grenades, and 2 special items, like (grappling hook and flare gun), (satchel charges and zip lines), (turrets and platform gun) and so forth.

Upgrades consist of, more ammo for weapons, higher rate of fire, more grenades, more special items (zip lines), and more armor to take less damage.

You can also buy vanitiy items to make your class look cool. But there are very limited options to choose from.

Now this is early access so I have already seen my share of bugs. Also because the maps are procedurally generated, I have come across maps that actually did not have enough supply in the cave system to complete our mission. Or that the path was no clear to go next, which ended up with us ending early.

The game is great, it just needs more stuff, more items, more things.

After beating the game and needing only 20% more side quests to do, I wanted to write a review.

Possitives+

Graphics
Sound
Story
Gameplay

Graphics: Looks really good at 1080p max settings. I experience so slow downs, no over heating or anything like that. Game runs solid and looks amazing.

Sound: One of the best voice overs in any game. Everyone came to life with their unique personality, it made them feel like a they are a real person. Music is great, it's got this Bruce Springsteen patriot sound track that will make you want wave your giant red, white, and blue flag.

Story: I really like this setting in Montana where these four horsemen religous cult has this town hostage and is killing anyone who does not join. You play a rookie deputy and you and your team must go in and take Joseph Seed from his people, but they don't like that so they try and kill you. You and your team escape and get split up. You find yourself leading the campaign to the end the cult family. Joseph Seed is the oldest sibling. He has 2 brothers and a sister. Each family member is basically mayor of each section. Your job is to liberate all the family and get to Joseph.

Gameplay: First person shoot done very well. You control a number of weapons and each weapon feels good to shoot and use. But once you find a load out you like, you tend to not switch it. The map is split in 3 main regions. Once you start doing quests in one of the regions and start messing with the leaders operations, this meter will fill up, then once you get to a milestone in the meter the game forces you into a lock scienario with that sibling. You usually escape and continue playing until the next milestone is complete in the meter and then it forces you again with the sibling until it's time to take them out. Then you go to the next region and basically do the same thing to get them out of hiding.

There is also hunting but It's not much hunting because there are so many animals running in random directions you tend to just bump into them. Fishing is solid, it has different rods you can buy and fish harder things. There are time trials that you can do and it unlocks vehicles. Tons of side quests and loot to explore.

Negative-

AI

AI: AI is not the best. Most of the time they just stand there and let me shoot them. Sometimes they all shoot at you but loose sight of you in seconds. The animal AI is horrible. The animals run in random places. Other then that if they cleaned up the AI a bit it wouldnt be so bad.

This game is worth it just in the story. It's a fantastic game

Dungreed is a fun rogue-like game that has nice progression. At first you will struggle, but once you go through the levels and collect gold and rescue NPC's that will help you on further runs, the game will get more fun. As you beat bosses and unlock new buildings, more weapons "unlock" for you to use.

The enemies are unique and have speical attacks, you will learn to prioritize which enemies to kill first so that cleaning up a room will become easier. You will also learn game mechanics that will help you clear rooms in ways you thought you could not do before.

Gold is important in this game because it is used to buy health, and other items to help you progress further. Boss fights are unique to each level and match the level they are in. Each boss has their own attacks and patterns to look out for. Once you clear a boss you get health, gold, and a speical item in a chest.

The game can be tedious because death is permanent and that means starting over with nothing at the start of the dungeon. But what makes me go back in is the loot. The loot is random and sometimes the game gives you really cool stuff. And sometimes not. But that is what makes it fun. At first I could not beat that first boss. But I learn and now I am on the 4rth boss when a day ago I could not even beat the first boss.

10$ worth every penny, and will keep you playing for a while.

WOW! This game is addicing. If you like card games with a mix of Darkest Dungeon rogue-like feel, then this is the game for you. I love the progression in the game. Every time you go a round you get more cards, and you feel stronger as you progress. It's very satisfying game to play. This game is worth the the full price, and it's a steal when on sale. This is a lot of fun for your buck. I highly recommend this game.

This game is the new and improved Spintires game. This is Mudrunner and it's much improved from the first game. It can get buggy at times, but just google the problem and that helped me. The game is a bit buggy in multiplayer, if you are new that is. You might need to make your own multiplayer game by yourself, then join your friends. It's something to do with the map. Once you make your own game in multiplayer I did not have problems joining others. Alt Tabbing can crash the game, so just Alt Tab the game instead of clicking it on the task bar. It's going to improve and the game is loads of fun once you realize how things work.

It's like dota but in space with spaceships. If I wanted to play dota, I would just play it. Theres' no exploration, you just pick a ship and fight 5v5 capturing mines and bases until you get to the enemies home base and capture it. Graphics are amazing, the game play is ok. But I am not really into pvp games.

If you have itunes music, then yes I recomend the game. But it's 2017, a lot of people use streaming music services like Spotify, Amazon Prime, Slacker Radio, Pandora, and many more. If they had a DLC for this that let us use web services so we can just login to our accounts and play anything from our subscribed accounts, then this game would be freaking dope. Been waiting for someting like that for years, but never comes.
