Basically what I want every CRPG to be like. Also, as someone who's completed a full playthrough, the in-game clock only advances when the player interacts with stuff; I took my time with this game and still had a couple days left when I set off the endgame.

Runs fine in Linux, but you'll probably have to try a few versions of Proton before it works.

It's like an idle game, but you have to occasionally do stuff. The gameplay boils down to a satisfying optimization loop. Basically, you're a guy running around a loop doing RPG battles and besides managing your equipment, you also place the environment, and have to give yourself monsters to fight without overwhelming yourself. The designers did a good job writing a story around the game mechanics. Excellent retro visuals and music.

Runs natively in Linux with no problems, even when I switched over to playing it on a cheap potato laptop.

I have nothing against this game itself, but it contains DRM that might make the game not start on your PC, depending on your OS. If you're on Linux, apparently buying the GOG version, then adding it as a non-Steam game will work, but I will pass on that and just get one of the console releases.

One of the best action RPGs in recent memory. I recommend playing the entire Drakengard/Nier series beforehand, but NieR:Automata is far enough apart from those that you won't miss out on anything mandatory, but you won't get the full story of why Earth is like that, and the backstories of a couple recurring characters.

I would also recommend playing the PS4 version of this game, if possible. I played through the entirety of the main campaign on Windows 8, and briefly mopped up some side content on Linux Mint through Proton, and it was still totally playable but is a kind of shaky port, overall. If the game whitescreens for you, you might have to play it windowed.

A 100% must-play if you are horny for robots.

A solid tower defense game, strongly recommended if you're looking for a casual game without F2P junk weighing it down. Plenty of difficulty modifiers and mods if it's too easy/hard for you.

Very happy to see some of the mainline Touhou games on Steam, even if it's only the last handful. Can't recommend these games enough to anyone who likes arcade-style vertical shooters.

Running this on Linux Mint using an Xbox One controller. Everything worked acceptably well out of the box, and perfectly with the usual minimal command line tweaking that Proton sometimes needs and some Steam controller fiddling. Fanmade English patches exist, but everything you need to understand to play the game is more or less in English.

Worth checking out if it's on sale and you're already a fan of Hot Dad. Might be worth 4 bucks if you have a VR setup and you're okay with paying that much for 20 minutes of absurdist humor.

Still one of the best third person action games of all time. Fast and well-paced for a single playthrough, with plenty of difficulty levels and hidden upgrades for multiple playthroughs.

Fantastic PC port. Even running it through Proton on Linux Mint, I only experienced the occasional frame rate or audio sync issue in a couple cutscenes. Load times are nearly nonexistent if it's running off an SSD. Easily as good or better than any console versions, depending on your hardware. Zero problems playing it with an XBox controller and switching to a mouse for the shooting gallery minigame after a level.

Never beaten this game despite buying it multiple times, but I keep coming back to it every couple years.

Rockstar Social Club Launcher stuff is sort of obnoxious, but I've seen worse.

If you're running this through Proton on Linux, it'll work but YMMV regarding performance. I'm actually going to go back to playing this on PS4, but that's more the fault of my specific PC.

Totally worth 30 bucks still, and unless you hate gangster comedy it's a must-buy if it's on sale.

Possibly my least favorite Dark Souls, but still absolutely worth playing. No insurmountable problems running Dark Souls III in Linux. Good mod community.
