SFO patch: Regiments of Renown: Stirland Edition

Description

THIS PATCH IS 4 VERSONS BEHIND THE CORE MOD USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

Regiments of Renown: Imperial Edition

Regiments of Renown is this first major unit pack for the Imperial Collection. Featuring lore friendly adaptations of classic War Hammer units, Regiments of Renown seeks to expand upon the vanilla ROR system.

REQUIRES SFO+ORGINAL MOD

GRUNDEL'S DEFENDERS
Tasked with protecting the batteries of cannons and mortar from the enemy, Grundel's Defenders have never failed in their honored duty. Discounting witchcraft and a few ill-fated misfires, Grundel's Defenders have yet to lose one of their precious war machines to a foe - a matter of great pride to the regiment.
-Aquired through: Smiths or Nuln Foundry
VON KRAGSBURG GUARD
While the scruples of the "Dirty Duke" may be questioned, none may contest the regiments combat prowess. Countless tales prevail about their couragous actions on the battlefield, from withstanding charges from a horde of Goblin Wolf Riders on the plains of Averland to battling towering Ogres in the Worlds Edge Mountains, the proud Von Kragsburg Guard will always get the job, and always expect their employers to pay up
-Aquired through: Tavern
ALTDORF COMPANY OF HONOR
The Altdorf Company of Honour, also known as the Sons of the Reik, are a Reikland regiment of highly-trained and highly-equipped troops dedicated to the service of the Emperor and the city of Altdorf. This highly distinquished regiment recruits exclusively from other Altdorf regiments, picking only the best and bravest men out of the many units that garrision the city in order to keep up with their fearsome reputation as an elite fighting force
-Aquired through: Altdorf City

The Imperial Collection

The Imperial Collection is a fully modular series of cosmetic modifications aimed at remastering the Imperial faction.

While Total War Warhammer dose a fantastic job of bringing the old world to life, it lacks the nuance to realize the rich cultural diversity of the Imperial Faction.

With each iteration of the Imperial Collection comes a complete remastering of each individual Imperial State, with the primary objective being to flesh out their visual appearance and distinctiveness, transforming them in the process from simple recolors to full on Imperial sub-factions.

In a nutshell the Imperial Collection will reflect the following attributes of each Imperial province
1. Cultural Disposition {Heraldry and Iconography}
2. Wealth {equipment quality and availability} - (destitute, sufficient, prosperous, extravagant)
3. Militarization Status {Uniformity} - (peasant levy, town watch, mercenary company, professional soldiers)
4. Unity/Nationalism {Cultural distinctiveness) - (Free City, Lesser Province, Ambitions Rival, Imperial Vanguard)

Relation to Lore v Artistic Licence

The Imperial Collection is what I would like to call lore adjacent. While heavily inspired by primary Games Workshop sources this mod dose take certain artistic liberties in order to better define each faction. The iconography, color pallet, and cultural essence of each state will be preserved but some liberties have been taken with the distribution of equipment and uniformity of each state.

----------------------------------------------------------Bugs-----------------------------------------------------------

Blood Feathers: Blood coats surfaces witch have been alpha mapped out resulting in ghostly mustaches and feathers on occasion. At this time I know of no known work around. Disabling gore works.... I guess...

Anti Aliasing Transparency Glitch: AA can create wisps of black outlines where textures where alpha mapped out, this is not usually noticeable and is a minor graphical issue. No known workaround outside of disabling in-game AA

Minor Texture Misalignment: A few textures require additional refinement due to complex model geometry, this will be fixed eventually.

I dont have time atm to continue to patch and support SFO, unless some third party modder wants to take up the reigns I wouldnt expect a trully SFO compatible verson of the mod (a finalized verson) for at least another 2 months.

This patch is not updated and its use with the base mod will cuase issues

I could be wrong. But my current ongoing SFO game has encountered some issues with the speed buttons suddenly, only updated mod is the Regiments of Reknown. Any chance of updating this SFO patch to reflect changes in base mod? If it could cause the issue that is.

Eventualy, SFO is the lowest priority of my current mods.

I think the units would feel more elite if you changed the unit models to be lower than the regular Empire regiments, but keep the stats the same. So 130 or 120, with the same stats as now.
