Description
As you probably know already, mods never work too well in multiplayer. Most of the time, people with mods are required to uninstall them to be able to play on public servers or just with their friends. That's way too much work just to join a public server you might not even like! Or with a friend who will probably only play the game once!

Mods can cause crashes, corrupt your save files, and make the multiplayer experience boring or annoying and utterly unplayable, unless everyone downloads the same mods as you. But sometimes, people don't want to use some of the mods you are using. They don't want to install something just to be able to play with you, and I understand that. That's why I decided to go full client-side mods on this one. Every mod listed here are mods that I use or used to have installed while playing with friends or by joining public servers without any problems.

Client-side mods are always the most recommended! This collection will be edited over time based on various new mods I have installed and tested.

⚠ IMPORTANT
• Modded Crafting Stations
Every Crafting Stations mods you can see listed below such as "Combinable Augments" and "NpcSpawner+" or "Weapon assembly" for instance WILL crash your game and or your friends if you interact with those crafting stations. If you have them in your inventory and you click on it (even just to drag it to the trash slot), or you have one already sitting on your ship or somewhere on a planet that you or your friends or anyone else just landed on. You will cause a crash!

The end result, however, will NOT cause any crashes! For instance, you can use the NpcSpawner+ mod in single-player mode to spawn various NPCs of your choice, like a villager type that can walk around your ship freely. This NPC will be harmless in multiplayer mode. Just make sure to pick up that crafting station after you're done with it! Also, do not give that NPC a modded weapon... Custom weapons[starbounder.org] made via /admin commands are fine, however. You can copy the spawn code for that custom NPC via the starbound.log and paste it in multiplayer if you have /admin rights, or ask for an admin to do it for you!

⚠ SIDE NOTE
• Make the universe a cuter place
For those who do not have the following mod, "Make the universe a cuter place" installed, will experience some minor graphical issues when playing with other people who have this mod installed such as NPCs and players with bald head due to entirely new (assets) hair options, which is not a replacement of each and individual vanilla hairs. Also, unintended choice of the brand on Novakids, because the brand options cannot be seen anymore since this mod replaces the brands with actual eyes. This means that the person who created their Novakid could have a faceless character, and they don't even know it!

• Cutebound Avians - Re-Feathered
Most people don't like how the mod "Make the universe a cuter place" also alters the Avian race. This is why I recommend this next mod called "Cutebound Avians - Re-Feathered".
