01. WHAT IS THIS MOD?


This is a Quality Of Life mod. I made this mod so I could easily access locations in-game without always having to allocate points into huntsman and learning "Tactical Retreat" every time I needed to get across a gap between two landmasses. The skill is used to "JUMP" to where you need to go without worrying about skill point requirements or worrying about how to progress or what you’ll miss if you skip that area, etc.

02. STORY / DESCRIPTION


“Whether you're Human, Lizard, Dwarf, or even Undead, traversing across difficult terrain is quite a chore. Master Rangers and Hunters from all over the world poured their secrets and techniques into this book over the course of 100 years. Learning these Masters' techniques and tips of the trade will no doubt come in handy. Read this book to learn how to 'Terrain Jump' like a Master Ranger."

03. MOD VERSIONS


1. "BALANCED" Version

> NOT INTENDED FOR COMBAT USE = You can still use it, but it costs 6 AP in combat.
> Line-Of-Sight = Usable only to areas within Line Of Sight
> Exceptional Range = (18m in-game) (For comparison: "Tactical Retreat" Skill only has a max range of 15m.)
> ONE Book For All Party Members = You don't need multiple books----the skill book is NOT consumed on use.
> NO Cool Down = (0 Turns) Virtually NO Wait Time.
> NO Requirements = Does not require skill points invested in Huntsman/etc.
> NO Worries = Use it to Span broken bridges, or Access difficult terrain.

I think it's an awesome idea... Space jump (type) thing.:)

But IMHO I think it should be less than 5 meters(3m) so that classes are unique.

I totally get the quality of life thing... And thank you for making mods. People like you give players abetter game(because people have choices).. and sometimes people like it enough to talk about it.. a voice that the devs may hear.

@ [MGE]LeonserGT - I'm currently focusing on other priorites in my personal life right now, so I haven't been playing or modding Divinity for a while. Put your request into the Suggestions discussion (In case: Under The "Discussions" tab) and I'll revisit it when I return to the scene. :)

Could you make a version with "reasonable jump", based on cat jump skill, that includes trajectory, moderate range and not teleport?

I'll look into it as soon as I can. Just to confirm, the issues with 20AP cost have been resolved and set back to 6AP in v1.0.3
