i first started playing starbound and i get nostalgic for the times when i had no idea what i was doing monsters suddenly coming from the dark were terrifying and the erchius mission felt super hard i miss playing with my friends and sisters or before i discovered how to use admin or the times where i didnt use the universal uncrafter to break down furniture looted from avikan settlements or the times where i didnt use the beakeasy shop to buy 10 stacks of ultimate juice in order to buy everything or the time i would be easily amazed by mods what ever happened to that playable snugget mod i followed for a long while and why isnt there a playable poptop mod ive been waiting for something like that forever it should be possible if penguins are a thing and other short creations it really surprises me that after all this time a playable poptop does not exist or the time when i didnt have like 30+ pages of mods for starbound i dont have anyone to play starbound with and this makes me sad also i dont know about you who are you but starbound seems a lot less challenging than when i started i believe the discovery of admin and the /spawn command was the beginning of the end i wish i could make starbound harder but not so hard but the workshop mods dont seem to have what im looking for / make the game too difficult also i really like immersion and lore but not a lot of races have that the elithian alliance mod is fantastic because of everything it adds and i believe the races the mod adds surpass the vanilla races with missions and weapons and new mechanics and puts other races to shame while frackin universe is fun and was the first mod i had played it adds some things that dont appeal to me i like the lovecraftian themes and the alcohol but theres something about the entire thing i dont really like theres also frackin races which i also really like but also dislike the fact that they dont always stick to the original lore of some vanilla races havent you read the codices the florans do really like meat but they are also known to be cannibals they even have the cannibal set what the hell and the glitch codices state "When the Glitch eat, food is collected in the body and broken down by bacteria. and i think humans deserve a little more to them than being a baseline race you use frackin races for unique abilites arent humans a race too shouldnt they have some abilities also i think some people ignore or forget about the fact that humans were the first out of the vanilla to invent interstellar travel and make the matter manipulator a copy of the master manipulator they replicated highly advanced ancient technology and also humanities changed over the years since they invented interstellar travel with a completely different outlook on life a more positive one who says that an entire race cant change their ways and after years and years of being this way it stuck hell they even forgot the first space flight also the uscm is there and they are a reflection of the way humans used to think and everyone knows how they ended up but everyone else managed to unite themselves into the protectorate now theres a real problem of human rights and i prefer the more descriptive racial descriptions of the races than the short ones cause they let me know a little bit about the race and what would make any race more better than the other at using certain weapons humans have been using all sorts of weapons for centuries isnt it kinda unfair that the hylotl are better at swords and katanas when humans also have swords and katanas and were super good with them i get that you need to make races stand out more but come on dont leave the humans out they are pretty cool in their own ways actually they are pretty much every races culture combined and theres also this one mod that removes staves from the game with the excuse being they wanted a more sci fi futuristic feel to it with more guns are you kidding me havent you heard the thing that goes any sufficiently advanced technology becomes indistinguishable from magic, havent you ever given thought to the staves being technology based instead of magic, and with all these alien races something similar to magic is bound to be with them the entire universe is filled with things we dont know or cant explain and magic can be something we cant explain or dont know yet if you introduced phones to the egyptians they would say magic! or if you rode into a medieval village with a boombox blasting modern music they would burn you for being a witch so i believe it is safe to assume that staves in starbound are just very advanced pieces of technology, staves probably make use of chemical reactions or something to create clouds that rain fire and stuff like that and that kinda technology makes the use of a gun look primitive i wish i hadnt typed all that it turned from me being sad about burnout to me being angry at specific mods good thing no one will ever read this
