5/21/2025: Zoichor translations added!

OVERVIEW
This is my own English translation pack for the race mod series produced by the incredibly based Ayameduki. This is a full translation pack that provides a complete experience - it's not intended for use alongside other Ayameduki translations.

Most of the existing translations needed some work. Quite a few of them drew directly from Google Translate, and I personally wanted a more immersive translation pack. And so, many hours and weeb tears later, here we are!

If you’re not familiar with these races, I've got just the thing. I drone on about them in detail in a Steam guide here. If you speak Russian, Korean or Spanish, you may also be interested in FarTresh's translations, BlackCanvas' translations, and Froit Berzerker's translations respectively. They are each made with reference to my own translations.

If you enjoy the mods, you may want to consider using Ayameduki Tweaks 2.0 as well!

This collection contains all of Ayameduki's mods and my translations.

TO FELLOW TRANSLATION QUALITY STICKLERS

There’s some minor embellishment in this pack for the sake of clarity and readability. The comments of the translation files hold documentation for my embellishments. I’d recommend starting with the nearmare if you’d like to look these comments over.

I combed through my translations as much as possible to remove grammatical errors, spot untranslated lines and amend strange translation choices. I can’t guarantee everything is perfect, though. If you spot anything dumb, please report it in the comments or via Discord, my handle simply being "wrelick".

DISCLAIMER
I’m a native English speaker with a fair understanding of Japanese. I frequently used services like Google Translate, DeepL or Jisho to cross-compare interpretations. Anything I describe about the series’ lore is ultimately based only on my personal understanding of the original Japanese descriptions.

Only my most recent translations are supported by any form of direct confirmation from Ayameduki. I've done my best to represent his intent accurately, but be aware that translation is an inherently transformative process and I am not a professional.

INSTALLATION AND COMPATIBILITY
This pack will automatically apply to as many or as few Aya races you have installed from the above list with no extra hassle.

Being a translation pack, it should be compatible with just about anything.

Be aware that if your game's language is not set to English, my translations will not load by default! If you wish to use my translations in non-English languages, you can do some file modification. Simply go into the pack's folders and duplicate any subfolders named English, renaming them to the respective English word for the language you wish to use (e.g. Spanish, ChineseSimplified, Russian).

CREDITS
Thanks to Aelanna, Bradson and Jamaican Castle of the RimWorld Discord channel for helping me understand the translation system and its pitfalls. And of course, thanks to Ayameduki for the original mods!

The collection of race concept art was illustrated by Ayameduki, translated by myself, and edited back into image form by the talented FarTresh. I draw the preview image artwork of the translation pack myself.

This mod was made possible by RimTrans[github.com] and its updated fork[github.com] . I'd recommend it to any translator. If you’re having trouble getting it to run, check the fork's Issues section.

Later translation files were instead generated by a tool provided by kamikadza13!

As mentioned above, Google Translate and DeepL were used for quick reference.

LICENSING
(CC BY 4.0)[creativecommons.org]
Basically you can do whatever you want with what I've made on my monkey typewriter. Obviously I can't license any assets from the original mods, though. Good luck to you.

Should you decide to fork the translation, though, I'd appreciate if you discuss it with me for my approval first.

Please do not redistribute Ayameduki's concept art, shown in the previews and in the guide, without direct permission from Ayameduki.

Thank you.

It's compatible indeed! But as it happens, I just updated the About.xml so you don't get any warnings. Enjoy!

Aya's mods have all updated to 1.6, will this be compatible? It's only marked for 1.5.
WRelicK  [author] 22 Jun @ 5:06pm
That he did! I don't think the translations will need updating, except maybe for hair strings, but AT2 is in a bit more of a bind.

Look like Aya added core file today.
Guess it is to reduce overlapping files.
WRelicK  [author] 10 Jun @ 5:45pm
Yep! This is just a translation pack - you load it after the Aya mods, and patch mods like AT2 should be loaded after them, as well.

@Dr.Thrax you put this mod below the Ayameduki Race mods you want to use in the active mod load order, if that was your question.
Dr.Thrax 10 Jun @ 8:42am
@marvinrhre And also the patch mods also?
MarvinEhre 10 Jun @ 7:06am
@Dr.Thrax this is only a translation patch, it will translate all Ayameduki Race mods, you have active in the load order above this mod. You can pick and choose, which race mods you want to use.
