Better Resources

Description
Better Resources mod for Space Engineers

This mod adds a lot of new resources, ore types include: Copper, Bauxite, Lithium, Oil Shale, Titanium, Nitre, Sulfur, Wolframite and Galena. Some of the ores will give multiple ingot types when refined, for example Bauxite will give Aluminium and Gallium, Oil Shale will give Crude Oil and Sulfur, Wolframite will give Tungsten and Tin. All default "Space Engineers" planets, asteroids and the moon will spawn the new resources.

• Most ammunition will require Brass, Gunpowder and Lead, Sabots will require Tungsten and warheads will require Plutonium.

• Lithium and Lithium-Sulfur batteries will output far more power and have a larger storage capacity, but will have no initial charge (cells will not grind to scrap)

• Petrol can be made from crude oil to power petrol engines, which are far more efficient than hydrogen engines.

• Elite tools and weapons will often require Brass, Aluminium, Plastic, Rubber, Titanium and Optics resulting in better performance and less weight.

• LED lights can be made from Plastic and Gallium, which are much brighter and more power efficient.

• GaAs Solar Panels can be made from Aluminium and Gallium offering better energy harvesting performance.

• Titanium components and high-torque motors make pistons with longer ranges possible (only x2 implemented at the moment).

• Composite Plate armour made from depleted Uranium and Titanium offers strength and durability, nuclear waste from reactors will need to be processed for depleted Uranium.

• Upgrade modules will need advanced electronics to build.

• Medkits and Powerkits can be made in the laboratory equipment block.

Please see below for a full breakdown of the resources

Some of the weapons use the Scope framework, which can be found here - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2754014019

Assembler flaw - You want to produce gunpowder and have all the ingredients necessary, but are getting the "Missing Items" error. This is because SE doesn't move the Sulfur into the assemblers main inventory, so you'll need to manually do this, or use an inventory manager to automate the process for you.

If you're unable to see the assemblers sub-category (gear icon) because you have a custom assembler, copy BlueprintClasses.sbc from [steam workshop folder]\2841960221\Alternative to [steam workshop folder]\2841960221\Data

Hey guys I'm running better resources in combination with configurable ores to create a custom planet that contains all resources. I'm getting a strange issue where it seems to select a random ore to not spawn my question is there is a max allowable ores per planet? Planet in use is pertam

@Cyber I doubt it, but you might want to take a look at this - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2941329084

@The Third Horseman Build planner for speed module components and manufacturing advanced circuits is working for me. It might be worth trying a new game with just Better Resources installed. I'm using the AI Inventory Manager block from the AI Logistics Automation mod.

@DirtyPixel Thank you so much, author. I just saw what you said, in the top, Then I tried manually placing the magnet into the raw material column of the assembly machine, and it can now produce high-power motors normally. Thank you

DP,

I'm struggling with this. It's a great concept, but there are a few things that I don't know how to deal with unless they're what you expected to happen.

For some things (I'll use Speed Mod as an example), if I use the Build Planner to extract what is needed to make them, I get the vanilla components (but not the extras your mod wants - Advanced Circuits and 10 GHz CPU).

Also, I absolutely have been unable to convince the assembler to manufacture the Advanced Circuits at all. I've verified that Plastic, Gold Wire, Niobium and Silicon Wafer are all in the assembler, but it won't build them.

Maybe there's a trick to this that I didn't find in the documenation?

We'll start with those two issues and assuming I can get past them, move on to any others that pop up.

Also, can you recommend an Inventory Manager to move things into the Assemblers? I'm having to do that for multiple items manually (not just the Sulfer you mentioned).

@ZERO 诺诺 I've just run a test and everything is working fine. As long as you have the required magnets, carbon and copper in the top section of the assembler you should be able to produce high-torque motors.
