DEI - MarkSumm's Realistic Roman Legions + Roman Shieldwall Comp Patch!

Description
THIS MOD REQUIRES ALL 3 DEI PARTS AS WELL AS ALL MARKSUMM'S REALISTIC ROMAN LEGIONS PARTS!!!

_______________________________________________________________
Introduction & Contents
Roman Legionnaries have "defensive formation" in vanilla DEI, and this is extended into MarkSumm's Realistic Legions mod. I thought it'd be nice if those amazing looking units could also have my version of the shieldwall which basically works like a hoplite phalanx but with much shorter reach but equal if not higher lethality. I hope you like it.

Please remember the following.
  • You must load either the Roman Shieldwall mod or the "Roman Package." Mod which already includes Roman shieldwall in it immediately after the 3 DEI parts, then load MarkSumm's Realistic Roman Legions and this submod. You see an example in the pictures attached to this mod.
  • This will make the Romans somewhat OP, however they will still suffer casualties and not be able to beat hoplite phalanxes and pikes easily. In fact in most situations they will lose against them, as they should.
  • The shieldwall can be particularly devastating against cavalry, so do not be afraid to use it as a line against cavalry.
  • With this shieldwall activated, your lines can be stretched out as much as you like unlike defensive formation.
  • Defensive Formation will be outright replaced with the new Roman Shieldwall ability.

Installation & Compatibility
  • To install, first subscribe to this mod, and place this mod above the 3 DEI parts in the mod launcher.
  • If you have other submods for DEI which you want to play with, simply place this mod over them as well to make sure the changes within this mod override them all. If you want to play this mod with my other submods, also place this mod on top of them.
  • This mod is save game compatible, and will likely be compatible with all future versions of DEI. I will update this mod should the combat system of vanilla DEI be overhauled once more.
  • Although this mod will be multiplayer compatible, multiplayer in R2 is often a very buggy process that I will not be able help much should it become an issue. All I can say regarding this is make sure both parties have the identical setup and mod load order when attempting multiplayer.

It seems the shieldwall ability itself decreases base weapon damage more than it used to, however in my testing it is still slightly more lethal than free melee. The ability also scales better and destroys cavalry much easier than free melee. There's still a tradeoff. I could tweak the shieldwall ability itself but it would then ruin the balance of other things.

yeah i am sure is not disciplined formation.May be you can test it and make some tweaks?

Shieldwall should work like a hoplite phalanx. Are you sure it isn't disciplined formation?
