Welcome to Operation Omaha Overload!

Update 6/23/2024:

**I've started preliminary plans for D-Day Operation Omaha Overload Version 2.0 & work has begun on making the new map. Like I've said, this is going to take hundreds of hours and months of work..again. I do not have source access to the original project files, so besides the assets actually used in the map I'll be starting from scratch.. It's not going to be the same map, but I will do my best to at-least reach the quality level of the original. **

Expected first public Beta release: 120 Days or approximately by 10/1/2024

For those facing a crashing issue upon loading the map, just manually update the team factions from automatic to whatever you select & it should work fine. IDK why that broke during the last update, but it did.

Minor optimization passes have been made on this map, early alpha state! I still have A LOT of work to do, but enjoy this initial release! Includes artillery, updated lighting, & a new water system!

A brief list of modifications (not full):
1) Back-face culling on almost every object included in this map like many console games do.
2) LOD bias optimization with lower systems in mind on almost every item, material, or object used in this map.
3) Foliage has been drastically reduced, and subsequently, the resources required as well.
4) Reduced the vertex complexity on a large number of objects used within the level.
5) Optimized collision meshes (Some, not all yet)
6) Updated Sky!
7) Improved AI Path-finding, and splitting routes more dynamic and often.
8) Artillery (Made by the one & only Yoshi!)




With all that said, I can personally spawn 200 AI and actually play a battle with relatively good performance, so that's cool.

*Please note:* You need at-least 34 vs 34 AI for the capture points to correctly play-out, but I developed this map with 100 vs 100 in mind.

If anyone in interested in the source files so you could create your own version or completely just rip what you want from this map and create you're own map, just private message me and we can make that happen as well.

WARNING! Carry on reading! Or you will die, even if you only looked at the word warning! Once there was a little boy called Joey, he was ten-years-old and he lived in a mental hospital because he posted a shitty copypasta onto a People Playground mod's comment section . He got so bad he went to kill all the staff in the hospital so the Feds decided that best idea was to get rid of him so they set up a special room to kill him, as inhumane as possible. And he sat there in agony for hours until he died. Now every week on the day of his death he returns to the person that reads this letter, on a monday night at 12:00 a.m. He creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by pegging you and watching you bleed to death. Now send this to ten other profiles on this one site, and he will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently if u copy and paste this to ten comments in the next ten minutes nothing will happen: sorry man i am not taking the risk

For me, night mode is pitch black and you cannot see anything but the horizon and muzzle flashes.
