Accurate Rodent Graphics

Description
This mod updates the look of rabbits and cavies, in addition to giving them layered graphic support for all of the domestic hair colors!

Both have separate spot colors that can also come in the same 43 hair colors!

This is part of an expanding series of expanded animal graphic mods. If you would like to see the other mods in this series:
Accurate Cat Graphics here!
Accurate Dog Graphics here!
Accurate Bovine Graphics here!
Accurate Wool Graphics here!
Accurate Equine Graphics here!
Accurate Ungulate Graphics here!

If you would like to use all these mods at the same time, you can also use the compilation of all of them here!

KNOWN ISSUES

The SDL2 update for Dwarf Fortress seems to have introduced some weird bugs in regards to layered creatures (animals specifically, not entities). Effects of this include:

  • Any animal child with layered graphics, upon growing up, will not have it's sprite updated until the save file is reloaded.

  • Animated sprites for the creature will not display, instead just using the normal sprite.
These bugs can be seen in vanilla with any wagon pullers, and unfortunately extend to animals in this mod series. Nothing that can be done except hope the bug is fixed in the game itself.

Credit to ryno for the lovely sprites, and mcnuggy for the coding.

Fair enough, thanks for the mods anyways

Before the big compilation was released it was all just the individual mods, and we wanted to reduce the amount of mods people had to install if they wanted all of them, so we combined all the animals that were 'similar' together. These were the last two mammals to do so it made sense to combine the two together. Same reason goats were thrown in with the 'wooly' animals.

You separated all the other creatures by type, why not these? Just sort of odd. I'm biased, own two rabbits.

"rodents and laomorphs" and "cavy and bunny" aren't very catchy titles. And 'Accurate Little Guys' isn't a very specific title.

Insects, but the insects are spiders

Yeah, "Rodents and lagomorphs" probably just isn't as catchy.

Rabbits aren't rodents, though...
