What exactly is this ship good at?
Mining a lot of resources. This is a high tech heavy miner, or, Colossus Miner to make it short...

What exactly is this ship bad at?
Maneuverability and self-defense.

Does this ship fly well in planet's gravity?
Yes, but you must be careful only to use the rear thrusters to fight gravity, that is, the big thrusters. You can lift off from a 1G planet with the cargo almost full of ores.

For what is this Big Red Button panel?
When you are on a planet (in gravity), you can press this big red button, and then the ship will start accelerating automatically, and all you have to do is to keep it aimed upward toward space and the ship will do the rest: The ship will save as much fuel as possible by controling the amount of necessary thrust that it needs to keep the speed at 99.5 m/s, and when the ship reaches space (zero gravity) it will automatically go back to normal.

Is it pressurized?
Yes!

Do I need any mod?
You do not.

Does this ship use scripts?
Yes, it does.

The previous version didn't use scripts, what changed?
A new set of piston has been added to the Colossus Miner, now it has 28 pistons in total and can dig up to 280 meters. It is significantly better now.

But why does it need scripts now?
The high amount of pistons causes a problem at the moment that the drilling system needs to reset; when the drilling system is reset, all pistons retract at a specific speed: In the previous version, the pistons retracted at -0.5 m/s each, which was already too fast due to the amount of pistons retracting at the same time at such speed. But now, the Colossus Miner has 28 pistons, with this new segment of piston added, it became too unsafe to retract every piston at the default speed of -0.5 m/s, so the only solution was to add two programmable blocks, so one programmable block sets a safe speed of -0.1 m/s for the pistons to retract, and the other one resets the speed of 0.0003 m/s for proper drilling.
Keep in mind that the 28 pistons move at the same time, so this speed must be multiplied by 28 in order for you to know the real speed. For example: 0.0003x28=0.0084.


Does it have jump drive?
Yes.
