So, you just got an AniList account, but ya don't know your way around. Here's were this guide cames in.

This is what you'll first see when you first log into AniList, the home page. If not, you'll see your profile's home page instead.

This is the where one can customize your own little cottage in the anime tracker woods. But ya want to show off your personality.

Go to your desktop's profile settings.






The basics on how to perk up your profile is to use an art program or two, like Kritia, Medibang or Fire Alpaca SE.* Those are the tiny secrets that the fancier guys uses to deck out their profiles. The other is to commission artists from the AL forums and sites, like Deviantart.

If you're doing stuff on your phone, use a drawing app, like Kritia, ibis paint and Medibang, to draw and/or screenshot set up your profile from there.

Ya just found out that when ya try to add manga and anime, your stats display a zero or aren't updating since "last year." You can either wait for the auto-update (which takes up to two days) or you can do this method.

This "secret trick" is one of the many methods to do this.

Go to your profile's drop menu.


And click on Settings


This will take you to this profile menu.

This will be the first thing that you'll see, arriving here.

Click on Lists


And scroll down, until, ya see the Stats section. Click on Update Stats and everything will be taken care of. "Inactivity" gone.

Obligatory, watch where you're going. The last thing that ya want to happen is to get hit by Truck-kun and isekei to an anime/manga that you outright hate.



Now these are how to do AniList on the go.

The app that will be featured here is "AniLib",
an android exclusive app.

This will show you how to get around AniList via mobile phone. But the other apps have a similar design, since, they're all AniList mobile clients. - Some are reportedly better than the one that I use.

On mobile, go to the upper-right corner where the cogs and vertical lines are at.




Click on the square which has the vertical dots.



Once on the web browser, you'll find yourself on your profile.




The square with the horizontal bars are at the lower right corner.




Scroll down the screen and look for the square with the blue horizontal bars.
Just like before, go find the settings icon. Click on that, it will take you to the profile section.



Then go to the upper left-hand corner and look for the square with the three blue horizontal dots.


Click on that, it will take you to that special profile section and then click on Lists. Scroll down, until, ya see the Update Stats.

Though with some apps, like AniLib, will require ya to go to the browser/website via phone. In order to do the steps in the previous chapters.

AniList also has socials to hang out, cry for help and/or offer suggestions.
