All ideas for the mod now and in the future will most likely be "borrowed" from Aliens franchise, Halo, Starship troopers and any other franchise that has kick ass action hero marines.

With URMC faction in the game you can either have great allies or a TOUGH late game enemy.
The update also comes with a story teller that will throw more bug and mech raids your way. That same story teller gives you the URMC man in black event where Sgt. Apone and his squad of ultimate bad-asses will show up to save your colony.

Currently there are 4 combat groups that can show up to help
or destroy your colony of bug lovers, each will always show up with a medic and officer.

Cadet Squads are made up of low cost recruits that are not much of a threat.
(similar to a outlander raid)

Scout Squads come with long range weapons and a few specialists including the flamethrower.

Marine Squads are the bread and butter of the URMC and are geared to take on all kinds of threats.
(think a empire raid with a bunch of power armor and charge rifles)

Assault Squads come with tons of veterans and Heavy marines equipped with rocket launchers and grenade launchers.
(in the late game they are equipped as well as you will be)

There will others added later, including scorcher squads and tox Squads.








A small production chain for making the synths, this will be expanded on in another update with more synths added.
Currently you have a Lab synth for Fab/Medical needs and a work synth that does most other jobs.


Comes with 7 armours, one apparel, 7 helmets and 3 hats.
The stats are all based off vanilla gear with some slight variations so it should be balanced.
the top 3 armours are similar to power armour, also multiple armours have refillable grenades you can throw at the enemy.
Including Frag, Foam and Incendiary nades.


Weapons and turrets are all either from or inspired by Aliens Franchise
All the weapons are similar to charge weapons in terms of damage but with different resource costs. So probably a bit more powerful then Vanilla guns.
Some of the weapons have custom sounds from Aliens too.
The turrets are all much stronger then vanilla turrets, I HATE vanilla turrets basically just a waste of resources.
The mortar shoots out 3 shells fast before needs to be reloaded like a normal turret.
Pulse rifle has a grenade launcher under-barrel. The Heavy Grenade Launcher shoots out 3 nades.


The easy start is like dropping in with 6 power armour marines from vanilla.
Hard start is one lone Marine Vet.

Next update is gonna the Raider Update, I was gonna do the Suppression after the faction update but someone bribed me to do the raiders; if you want a say in what happens after that you can also bribe me otherwise I pick based on how i feel.

The raiders will add basically my barbs mod to the URMC mod with less bugs and more features. They will also be a late game enemy, but instead of ranged they will be melee. UNLESS you play as em, in witch case you'll get upgrade-able armor, weapons, shields, exosuit and skull trophies all in a kool space urukai ascetic.

Updates IF people like the mod. Since that motivates me to continue working on it, Money also does that too.
The mod is taking off so the ideas to add has ballooned lol

FAQ about the mod

Is it compatible with CE?
For the first and probably only time YES!
However, since im a good christian boy, I dont play CE so I have no idea if it works.

Can it be added or removed from a save?
Added? Yes, it should be fine, removed saves; you may need to do some things to remove any mod safely.




Should be compatible with everything.

Is there a way to force armor I make myself to have appropriate coloring? My produced armor comes out white as opposed to the standard green and doesn't look as good.

The goliath armor as well as both the armors added by the tox update are now Vacuum usable

@acidity the mod does not require any of the dlc but it does require the VE framework mod
some of the mods contents do need dlcs but they just wont show up in game if you dont have said dlcs, so there should be no conflict

@Fenc the spec ops stuff will let you cloak your pawns, the wepons will have a huge damage increase but less range, hopefully incentivising you to get close and shoot while invisible

Hello!, Excited to use this mod! I was just wondering if this mod requires a specific DLC, some mods are labelled with the DLC requirement. The reason i'm asking is because I seem to be getting a error every time I load into the game. An example is this one "Could not resolve cross-reference: No RimWorld.XenotypeDef named Baseliner found to give to URMC.CharacterDef pphhyy_Character_PvtJenetteVasquez" and this is the case with 6 other characters. I may have misread something and am missing a requirement. Appreciate any help to resolve this :)
Would be cool if you were able to call in support with the system from royality DLC.

Love the mod - can't wait till some of the armour has vac protection. One small bug I've found when playing CE with the Generic Ammo option enabled. "M43 pulse rifle Mk2 (Charged pistol) has no available ammo types" - which somehow cascades into mapgen failing to create any factions other than the first URMC base. Can totally work around it by enabaling that option post world creation, but just thought I'd post it here to let you know - Thanks!

hey, do you think making one of the light armors only take the middle slot would be a good idea? i end up skipping the recon armor since they seem practically the same as the light armor
