Description
PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO RATE THIS MOD! Thank you!

Read the 'Getting Started' section before subscribing!

This mod was created because I like the idea of Kiruka's Modjam very much, but when I played it, I felt it made me too strongly tied to the mod. I wanted more flexibility. So that is why I have been creating 'Minimalistic Modjam LWOTC' since many months ago. Its main feature:

This is a fully customizable and flexible modjam.

No code was modified or added, only configuration files. Besides that, you can safely pick and choose only mods that you feel you want in your version of this modjam, since the mods aren't tied together in any way(*).

Besides that, other relevant features:
  • New XCom/Random perk pool for all LWOTC classes.
  • New enemies, selected and configured so that they are balanced (**)
  • New classes, selected so they each add something new to the game.
  • More gameplay features, adapted and balanced for LWOTC
  • New items, adapted and balanced for LWOTC

Getting Started

To install this modjam, subscribe to one of these collections:

It is recommended that you run this modjam with 'XCOM2 Alternative Mod Launcher'.[github.com]

If this is your first time playing LWOTC, you should also follow its 'Getting Started' section (link}.

Extras

List of core mods, I recommend to use this only as a way to see the main features included in this modjam, since it doesn't contain the required mods: 'Minimalistic Modjam LWOTC - Core Collection'

You can also use collections for specific features, so you can more easily pick-and-choose what you like:

A few optional mods that are not included in the full/core collections, but that have been tested with this modjam, and I do recommend them:

(*) The only exceptions:
- 'Celatid Alien' and 'Additional Ammos Types': The 'Scramble Rounds' ammo is using CelaticCorpse. You can change the corpse and thus untie them easily if you want to, by modifying the file 'Items - Additional Ammo Types/XComLW_Overhaul.ini'.
- 'Pathfinders' and 'Extract Corpses': In order to mantain the economy balance, all corpses sell for half their price in the blackmarket. If you don't want this mod you have to also uncomment the lines below 'moved to 'Extract Corpses''in order to enable corpses for Pathfinders.
(**) This modjam was balanced for a Commander LWOTC playthrough, however it should work fine for other difficult levels, since it keeps the changes consistent for all difficult levels.

FAQ

> Can be installed mid-campaign?
I do not recommend installing this modjam mid-campaign, I did not test this scenario. While this mod itself is pretty safe since it is only config files, there are mods in the collection that are not safe to install mid-campaign.

> There are missing dependencies
If the following mods have requirements missing, it is alright, they show as missing but a more recent mod is covering their dependencies:

- "[WOTC] Shadow Ops Perk Pack" the mods that are missing are covered by LWOTC itself and by the mod "[WOTC] Community Promotion Screen"
- "Dual Wield Melee" is covered by "True Primary Secondaries [BETA]"
- "Frost Legion" is covered by "True Primary Secondaries [BETA]"
- "WotC Ballistic Shields" is covered by "True Primary Secondaries [BETA]"

If the mods with the missing dependencies warning are these, then everything is fine, just be sure to be subscribed to the mods that cover them. Also, please do not subscribe to these missing mods ("[Deprecated] New Promotion Screen by Default", "[WOTC] LW2 Secondary Weapons", "[WOTC] LW2 Classes and Perks", "Primary Secondaries"), they either do not support LWOTC, or have bugs that are fixed in the mods I mentioned.

> An item shows up with a requisite I don't have / I have not installed one of the Core mods
You have to delete the folders for the mods you decided to don't subscribe to in the mod directory Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\3384675662\Config. This happens because as far as I know there is no way for me to signal to the modjam 'don't load X config if Y mod is not installed'.

Known Issues
This is a very light weight mod by itself, since it only changes configuration files. The mods that are grouped in this collection have been tested and fine-tuned during many months of playthrough, and currently don't have known issues (besides known issues for LOWTC itself, which I will detail in a 'Discussion' thread, so you can avoid a few common pitfalls). However, there may be issues with the LWOTC 1.2.0 patch, since most of my tests were performed with LWOTC 1.1.0. I am investigating and fixing them.

Credits
- Thanks to Kiruka, since originally this modjam was based on theirs.
- Thanks to everyone involded on LWOTC, it is my very favorite game.
- Thanks to the creators of the mods that are grouped in this modjam.

No, I have done no modifications on their spawn rates.

Has the spawn rate of requiem mods been modified in any way? I've rarely been meeting any in my latest campaign.

Just the requiemarmory one in this mods config. Even tried unsubscribing, deleting and resubscribing to this mod and that did nothing.

Did you change the .ini for what mod? Maybe it is due to priority, more updated mods are loaded first, if I remember correctly.
Ok. 11 Jun @ 2:08am
Weirdly I just changed the ini slightly, saved, and now it's back to using taipan corpses. No idea why that happened.

Haven't really put in too many big changes. Just simple ini edits, one or two enemy type mods and various cosmetics. Really nothing that should effect it but I'm not the most knowledgeable about how it all works under the hood.

I guess it overwrote changes that you had made. What were these changes? Asking so that I can integrate them in the modjam.

With the latest update, stainless plate seems to have gone back to using muton corpses again for me.

hi, just letting you know that a new update dropped

I figured it out, the mod AHWRequiemArmory has the item RequiemStainlessVest configured with a MutonCorpse in 'CreateRequiemStainlessVest()' in the file ARFM_Requiem_Ammo.uc, and also has it configured with a CorpseRequiemTaipan in the file XComLW_Overhaul.ini. Very weird.
