Knights of the Flame: Faction Overhaul

Description
"Sir Mogen was tasked by the Lady to cleanse the land of Araby from it's dark taint and stop an ancient evil from stirring. Sensing the seriousness of this quest, Sir Mogen embarked on a great journey to Araby, capturing the port of Lashiek to serve as his base."

This mod overhauls the Knights of the Flame faction with new lords, heroes, units and campaign features.

FEATURES
  • The Flaming Crusaders – 1 new Faction, 1 Legendary Lord, 1 Legendary Hero, New Generic Lord, New Generic Hero, and 3 new units
  • 1 new landmark and building chain
  • Custom Mechanics
    • Books of Nagash - Sir Mogen is able to collect and seal the Books of Nagash, increasing his military prowess and preventing them from being exploited by others.
    • Crusader's Zeal - The Knights of the Flame crusade all along the coasts of Araby. Each victory emboldens and empowers the crusaders, pushing them to greater heights. Beware though, as losses and inactivity will weaken the zeal, and in turn lose the benefits that come with it.
    • Desert Supplies - The desert is a harsh place, with water few and far in between. Traveling without proper preparation will see you burned by the desert. Settlements will provide you with desert supplies for a time, ensuring no attrition lost when traveling the deserts of Araby.
    • Crusader's Vow - Sir Mogen, the Knight-Commander lord, and the Knight-Captain hero has access to a new vow: Crusader's Vow, replacing the Knight's Vow

PLEASE READ - IT WILL LIKELY ANSWER YOUR CONCERNS
  • (Should be) Compatible with Lily's Overhaul.
  • This mod is balanced for vanilla gameplay. It aims to insert itself into vanilla campaigns as seamlessly as possible.

Good stuff. Loved this faction since WH 2

Thanks for taking the time to answer, and thanks as well for your two mods!

well i mean both are still aggressive. the knights of origo just has better defensive capabilities, shipbuilding, and access to VC's infamy/shanties. knights of the flame on the other hand pretty much specializes in fighting undead/corruption, with a hard start vs arkhan and are able to collect the books of nagash for bonuses. they should feel like very different factions

If I understand correctly, the Knights of Origo are more defensive, whereas the Knights of the Flame are more offensive, right? If not, could you clarify the differences between these two factions? Sorry if my question seems silly.

yeah man all you have to do is reorder the mod list. Does no one actually know how to mod or understand mods here
graetor  [author] 24 Feb @ 2:35am
Or if you have the exact same modlist then you shouldnt have to change the load order since its automatically set for you. But again, i dont play mp, not up to me to comment what yall should do
ᚹᛟᛞᚨᚾᚨᛉ 24 Feb @ 12:47am
If it is set automatically, you may not be able to play multiplayer because the order is different from the person you are playing with.

Im saying that usually modders name their mods in a way that determines where they should be in the load order, i.e. mods that start with “!” or “@“ will be automatically pushed up higher on the list, and that’s done on purpose. Again, unless there is a specific reason, the load order shouldnt be changed
Ty of Troy 23 Feb @ 11:44am
@graetor, are you saying that load order does not matter for WH3 unless specified in a mods description?
graetor  [author] 23 Feb @ 8:58am
youre not supposed to mess with the load order in the first place, only in very specific scenarios
