TRM is a vanilla-plus, immersive and lore-friendly rework of the United States designed primarily for historical and semi-historical play. The mod features a brand new focus tree, along with decisions, events, generals, advisors, operations, and much more. The goal is offer the American player more plausible strategic choices on how to wage war, or to even attempt to avoid being drawn in altogether.



CURRENT FEATURES

• Completely new, extensive focus tree
• Expanded historical advisors, generals, and admirals
• Longer and more difficult Depression and military weakness in peace, followed by extraordinary growth and strength in wartime
• New decisions for public works, Congress, New Deal or Conservative Agenda, war preparation, and operations
• The communist and fascist paths have been removed, and replaced by the Conservative Coalition options
• New units: Mechanized Cavalry Recon Troop, Armored Cavalry Recon Squadron, and Airborne Artillery Regiment
• All-new custom Air, Tank, and Support MIOs with unique traits and bonuses (requires AAT)
• Customize and upgrade your Industrial Concerns, Army structure, and Air Force organization
• Updated order of battle with historical division commanders
• Includes new and adopted graphics for all of the above
• Numerous tweaks to resources and states, with a much higher building capacity late game
• White peace decision for Germany with USA if Britain and Russia fall
• New custom AI routine (under construction and needs further testing, use at your discrection)



NEW FOCUS TREE AND THE CONSERVATIVE COALITION

An entirely new focus tree has been created, from the depths of the Depression through the hard war years. America must overcome her economic and political weakness, and begin slowly rebuilding the Armed Forces after years of neglect. Decide what kind of Army, Air Force, and Navy you want to command, and elect or re-elect the Commander-in-Chief to lead them. Build a massive force with hundreds of divisions, or concentrate on a small, well-trained Army with greater effort into building the arsenal of democracy.

This is not a mod designed for alt history world conquest, and the fascist and communist paths have been removed. If Roosevelt is re-elected in 1936, a coalition of isolationist Republicans and Southern Democrats can band together to frustrate his Second New Deal, and put forth a new candidate to win in 1940. Form your own faction with "Mr. Republican" President Taft, join and take over another faction with isolationist-turned-internationalist President Vandenberg, or forge a flexible foreign policy with young up-and-coming President Dewey.

U.S. aircraft and tank MIOs are now fully customized with all-new traits. Includes shared research traits for certain types and licensed production.

There are some new custom graphics, but most graphical changes are possible due to the great work of the community. Additionally, many items here drew inspiration and guidance from the coding of other mods, such as the white peace with Germany from "Bitter Peace and More Axis puppets" and events from "Pearl Harbor Expansion". REQUIREMENTS

Man the Guns DLC is a hard requirement. No Step Back is highly recommended. There is extensive but optional content for AAT and BBA.

COMPATIBILITY

This mod was designed to be as compatible as possible, with most changes being on US content. TRM will interfere with big conversion mods like RT56 and Expert AI. Permissions are open if you want to make compatches.

This mod is designed to be played with MrPunk's incredible Vanilla Naval Rework mod. It is not a requirement, but many aspects such as tech bonuses and experience are made with VNR in mod.

If you are using my Generals and Admirals mod, make sure to put TRM higher on the load list so it overwrite G&A. The USA character list for TRM is necessary to make it work.

I also don't know why they are happening. Still haven't been able to find a direct link between this mod and the process for each of them.

-The warlords all meet the requirements to join the United Front, but they don't do it. Looks like GXC and YUN don't do it now. I am going to add absurd motivation for them to join (like AI_will_do factor = 100) and see if that makes a difference.
-Haven't found a link with Mexican civil war but will keep looking. I need to play a test game as MEX and see what pushes them towards Second Cristiada.
-Never even noticed the continuation war problem, it's like going back to the first 9 years of HOI4.
-Don't have the Balkan DLC but will troubleshoot from the txt docs first.

noticing some bugs with this that i dont really know why they are happening

- bulgaria doesnt join the axis
- continuation war doesnt happen
- not all cliques join the united front
- mexican civil war

- saw a bulgarian civil war once

the top 4 are the most consistent. great mod tho btw

Nah dawg, can't take on any more projects. Plus everything Japan-related is about to have the script flipped when the new DLC comes out, so I've been avoiding the Pacific until then.

So... would it be possible for you to integrate VNR's "Pearl Harbor" submod with this via compatch? Keep what's unique with it, and discard it's features that TRM makes redundant?

Thanks for the heads up. The decision was not properly re-integrated with the mod after testing. If you re-load your game, the decision should now appear. It becomes visible when GER has war with USA and ENG. The US doesn't always accept on the first try, but the decision will re-appear and you can fire it again.The US will be forced into a truce, but you remain at war with the Allies if they have another major (such as RAJ or CAN).

how is the peace with germany if the axis conquers russia and britain activated? i enjoy using this mod for the US AI when im playing the axis too, and they never prompted a cease fire or peace deal.

Nope, Alf was a old liberal republican who actively opposed the America First Committee on a number of things. I liked the original PDX set up for him so it's left mostly the same, but he has some unique options in the tech tree. Nothing fancy.
